As soon as Sirin entered the doors closed behind him and it felt like the floor suddenly evaporated. The red crystal that he had placed on his chest felt like it was going to burn through his essence one this happened.
Here he was surrounded by darkness once again with no sense of time or direction.
At first the whispers started; they were almost identical to those that could be heard when he travelled through shadows. Only these were louder, and older. Almost like an ancient creature about to awaken from its slumber.
Then the sound disappeared and made room for a gigantic flame in the distance.
Soon the flame started to take a humanoid form and then shrunk a lot to reveal a dark red figure.
Even if it was now not even half of its size from a few seconds ago, the figure was still at the verry least fourteen meters. It had three flaming yellow eyes, six bat like wings with large spikes and seven horns forming the shape of a crown.
The lower body of the figure was covered with a black armour of unknown material. Though the upper body was covered in a natural armour of scales and a chitin like material it had a massive scar on its chest in the form of two magic circles on top of each other. Not only that, but also two crystals much like the red ones Sirin had seen before. Only, these ones were black and white.
The figure came closer, and its long tail slowly wagged from side to side. Eventually it stopped in front of Sirin and created a throne out of flames that suddenly seemed to freeze in place.
Before Sirin could understand what was going on the demonic figure seemed to pick him up with magic and let him float at its eye level, though Sirin couldn't detect the magic no matter how hard he tried.
But now that he was closer to it, he could have a proper look at its scales. They ale sparkled like rubies and almost seemed ethereal. Then Sirin suddenly connected the dots, the crystals weren't crystals, they were the scales of this being. Much like Sirin's blood was to him, these scales were a direct connection to this entity.
The red god broke the silence with a sigh. "I can't blame you for relying on the creator's gift so much, but it troubles me to see that you barely have any strength of your own." Its voice had an odd echo to it, as if multiple people were saying the same thing at once. "Though I doubt that such a time would ever come, but the creator could take the system away just as easily as that I gave it to you. Furthermore, it nearly broke when I came to check if you were still alive. Now I've taken actions to prevent this, but I doubt that my siblings would be as prepared to interact with you as I am."
Sirin shivered under the thought that the only reason he had survived dup to this point could be taken away this easily, yet he still mustered the courage to confront the god.
"Is that it?" He asked, almost as if he was mocking the higher being in front of him. "You left me alone with the system without any explanation. And now that I've managed to find you to ask you the shit you should have told me from the start, you talk down on me for using the verry tools you have given me."
The god smiled, revealing its large fangs that made those of Sirin look like toothpicks. "I like your attitude hatchling, I'm almost proud."
Rubedo reached out to Sirin who tried to back away, now realizing that his bold statement might have been a mistake.
"Stop squirming around." The god scoffed.
After that Sirin could only see the error screen of the system he could feel it sending painful shockwaves through his entire body. He panicked and was now even more desperate to break free.
"Try to calm down. It will be over a little earlier if you do." The voice of the god now rang through his mind. However, this time it didn't have the echo. It was till heavy and rough, but it no longer had the extreme pressure of authority bound to it. Almost as if the higher being was genuinely trying to help Sirin at the moment.
Sirin could do nothing else but try to follow the advice of the god. Soon enough the error screen went away, and the shockwaves stopped.
Now that the error was resolved Sirin was immediately faced with the bright blue screen of the system.

"What do you think of it?" The echoing voice of the red god asked.
Sirin immediately looked away from the system and stared dumbfounded at the higher being. "You… you unlocked the rest of the system. But why? Don't I need to prove my worth to you first?"
"As if you could mean anything to me with your pathetic display of strength. Nor am I giving you special treatment because I also used to be a demon in the past. I just want you to live and since I wouldn't dare to touch that mess that your bloodlines consist of, therefore I won't ad my blood to the pile. So, fully unlocking your system to grant you a more permanent form of power in the form of levels was the best option. Even if the system disappears the power granted by the levels will remain. The skills and lowered number of souls you need to harvest for your next transformation was just a bonus."
