Karthik lowered his head and before reaching out to pick up her right hand. "Does it hurt?"
After Karthik ask this question he froze, and the atmosphere between them started to become awkward.
"Her face isn't made of steel," said Riya with a laugh, to ease the ambitious air between them.
"That's good." Karthik's tone was calm, but there was an unconcealable sternness between his brows. At least Chahat was tactful and didn't go for Riya. Otherwise, no matter how she was banned, it wouldn't be able to appease his anger.
He was even shocked with his thoughts, he pacify himself while saying he is doing everything because of the child.
"Don't worry too much, I've already thought it through. Let's go, I'll go see Chahay."Riya stood up.
Suddenly, Karthik held her wrist. "You really don't need me to accompany you?"
"Yes, I can settle it myself," Riya said softly.
She opened the door and walked towards Chahat's dressing room.
Chahat had already finished her interview and returned to her dressing room. She was enjoying the support on Social media.
Riya knocked on the door and Chahat came over to open it. When she saw that it was her, she seemed to have expected it. She smiled and said, "Riya, are you looking for me?"
"Yes, I'm here to look for you and talk about what happened between us." Riya walked in and closed the door.
Chahat was not afraid at all. Now that she had the upper hand, it would not be easy for Riya to turn things around.
Last time her plan failed after she drugged her and Karthik. God knows how much difficult it was for her to drug Karthik, but he didn't kick Riya out of the production team.
She even call her next morning to cause communication but to her utter disappointment, she was behaving normally even after that as if nothing happens.
Now, It was impossible for Riya to do anything to her in public, right?
She smiled and said, "I know that you didn't do it on purpose, so I didn't blame you. Riya, we are considered acquaintances. Whether you hit me or scold me, I will consider the big picture and not let our personal grudges affect the filming."
She suspected that Riya had a recording pen with her, so her words were flawless.
"So, there's no need to apologize. I've never blamed you, have I? I've already made things clear with the reporters," Chu Jia said as she crossed her arms.
Riya smiled and looked at Chahat. After her experience in the entertainment industry, Chahat had really grown up. She was no longer as frivolous as before and did things in a sloppy manner. It was indeed worth celebrating.
"Although you don't need me to apologize, I still feel an apology is necessary." Riya took a step forward and walked up to Chahat.
"Oh, since you want to apologize, then say it. I'm not blaming you anyway. My face will be fine after resting for two days."
The corners of Riya's lips curled up. "I hope I can apologize to you publicly and let everyone know that our matter was indeed a misunderstanding."
Chahat did not know what Riya was up to. If she apologized publicly, it would not be beneficial for her. After all, the scars on her face were makeup effects. The more people saw her, the greater the risk of being seen through.
"No need. Don't make it so troublesome. Just tell me directly. I still have things to tend to and don't have time to cooperate with you." Chahat refused.
Riya took a step closer and stepped on Chahat's foot. Chahat struggled, but was unable to break free. She said angrily, "What are you doing? Riya, what are you trying to do?"
"Not doing anything." She pushed Chahat back into the chair and exerted more force on her feet.
Chahat heard the sound of bones breaking. She said nervously, "Riya, what did you do to me? My feet, my feet…"
An intense pain came, causing her expression to change drastically.
"Riya, you broke my foot!" Chahat was really angry this time. "I'm going to sue you, how dare you!"
"Chahat, I'll be waiting for you at the apology conference this afternoon." Riya retracted her leg. Chahat raised her hand and wanted to slap Riya on the face. However, her injured leg could not exert any force. Her body tilted and she fell back into the chair.
