章節 12: Chapter 7 part 2 healing hurts
I wake up to the sound of laughter, people picking tents up along with other things. I look around to see i'm not in my own tent but instead in a larger one. I'm not sure whose it is but i'm not going to stay to find out. I try to get up but i'm basically incapable of movement, it takes me a good minute before i get one leg off the bed and then the other but when i lean up the pain becomes unbearable to the point that i nearly faint. But even with the pain i have to find out who this boss is, and i'm not going to find out by just staying here. I stand up and immediately fall to the floor and an immediate shock of pain lots of pain. Someone's must have heard because they walk in immediately after. The person that ended up coming in was Charles. " it's nice to see that our dead men isn't six feet under yet" " don't forget to ad yet" i say. "Hu funny…. Here let me help you back into bed" i let him help as much as i'd rather be up and moving i can't even walk yet. "How long have i been out?" "about two and a half days, we just decided is about time to get moving" "ok" "and if you want to know the girl is fine thanks to you, shocked yes but not hurt" "good good" "do you need more rest or do you think you can move?"
I give the question a thought before i answer, when i tried to move it was painful yes, but if i don't move well be stuck underground in this dungeon for possibly another week and no one wants that. "If you can find something to ease the pain i think i can" "someone has a resapy for pain medication, they'll probably lend you some i'll go ask" "thanks i'll be here" he walks out and i lie there for a good minute or two before i hear someone coming into the tent. I opine my eyes to see what i didn't want to see. Red thompson followed by Ryan who is not wearing his bare outfit anymore instead he's wearing a set of cloth armor with some metal around the legs, arms and chest. "what is it Red?" i say "i came to thank you for killing that manyact, i would have killed him first if i knew who he was but i wasn't that forcheat" Ryan speaks up "we came to tell you that man had a bounty on him for five hundred coins" my eyes shot opine "WHAT DID HE DO!?" "his name was Spenser Drax, he was convicted of mass murder and first,second and third degree murder. He was crazy but part of the advenchers gild but ween he got denied to go up in the ranks he went mad and went on a killing spree" Red times in "says he yells that he's looking for a key before he kills, no one knows why" i have a strange feeling that he had a motive but i'll keep that to myself.
"So am i going to get the money now or later" I ask. "Later because the reward is back at the bar, should have just bought it with me just in case things like this happen but what can you do ya know" the smile he gives me is the same one he had ween his guards died. "I noticed the gold gild pendant you have, which means that your a gold rank aren't you?" his grin disappears and he starts to speak in a way that old warears do. "I am a gold rank yes but it's not all cracked up to how it sounds" Ryan speaks up "im a gold to and hes right you spend so long trying to get there but when you are you feel like you were left dowen" "well that should just be how it feels to us but to others it was worth the what, they sometimes become famis our they let it go to their heads and go get themselves killed like our friend Spenser did-" that's when it clicked for me. "That crazy tried to get to platinum and went crazy when he got denied and decided to go looking for that key thing to show he was capable of platinum"
"That sounds about right, he went looking for the key at the start to show up to the gild but over his years he grow abscessed over the key and started to-" "kill to get the damn thing" "exactly"
we spent the next ten minutes talking about other gold ranks until Charles came back with the Medication.
