The rook, or at least what was left of him, stood bravely. However, cracks in his conviction showed as his gaze darted around, even looking up in search of wherever Kairos and Si had gone.

Though he didn't have to think about it long, as a row of fluorescent lights connected by a rusty iron bar began rising out of the seemingly shallow water just like a shark fin. It was incredibly peculiar, considering the water itself only reached the ankles, but the fluorescent lights made it seem as though there were actually deep waters.

Though while the Rook was focusing on the one set of lights, something awfully familiar to him began happening once more.

Several different rows of fluorescent lights connected by a rusty iron bar also raised up in different parts of the water, sending slow ripples across. Each of them swerved in the water, approaching the rook at different speeds and taking different paths.
