Things are a bit big, what things? How big could it be?
Eric was puzzled but followed the directions to the moon, the lair of The Man on the Wall, The White Nick Fury.
Howard and Nick Fury were old friends, the The Man on the Wall's duties were entrusted to him by Howard, and the gamma bullet, which claimed to be able to kill all life forms, was also Howard's invention.
Although it was not the first time he had been here, Eric was still very careful, after all, he had almost fallen at the hands of that white fury last time. He first teleported near the base, then sensed it again and again, all four basic powers working to make sure there were no traps against him before entering the base.
"Fury! What happened to you?" Just as he entered the base, Eric saw the The Man on the Wall lying on the ground, his hands clutching a pile of medicine, a syringe stuck in his waist, a pile of medicine scattered on the ground, and the pistol that never left him dropped a short distance away.
Poisoned? Feel for a pulse, there's still help! Erik immediately opened his pocket dimension, took out a life cradle and put him inside.
The new generation of the Cradle of Life was even more versatile, capable of healing not only physical injuries but also ordinary toxins.
Unfortunately, what could poison the Man on the Wall was not destined to be a simple toxin, and even the Cradle of Life only managed to wake him up.
"Quickly ... quickly ..." The Man on the Wall opened his eyes in a daze, saw Erik and struggled to grab him, but was blocked by the Cradle of Life.
"What? What do you want?" Eric leaned close to his ear and listened intently.
"Quickly ... stop him ..."
"Stop who? Howard? What's happening?" Eric's face was hard, this was 80% Howard's doing, but what was he up to?
"Howard ... the Watcher ..." The Man on the Wall voice was as thin as a mosquito, seemingly ready to break at any moment, and it took a lot of effort to get two names out.
Howard! The Watcher!
"Shit!" Eric's face turned pale and, without thinking about anything else, he teleported directly to the Watcher's base.
The Watcher was still sitting calmly in the void as before, and when he noticed Eric's arrival, he simply glanced at him indifferently.
That's right, a glance! He only had one eye left!
"My goodness! Howard, what have you done!" Eric swallowed hard and just felt the sky spinning, this time, it was really big!
...
"There's been a mistake in this world and it needs to be fixed!" Howard fiddled with a strangely shaped machine, an eye was set into it, and his eyes were filled with a look of madness.
This was the sixth day he had woken up.
The first day he woke up, he realised that things had gone sideways, that he was actually alive!
This wasn't right! He should have died at the hands of the Winter Soldier, but after more than nine years, he was alive again!
He immediately realised that things had gone beyond his expectations and after dealing with his son, he headed straight to England the next day to find Old Captain America and try to find clues from him.
The old Captain America team had been hiding in the special space he had helped build, and to avoid interfering with the timeline, he had agreed with Howard that he would not be involved in anything that happened.
Now Howard's sudden visit had equally surprised him, because according to the original timeline, Howard should have been dead!
After a long talk, the two compared the timelines one by one and found that the only thing that didn't match up was Eric.
This man, who claimed to be from a parallel universe, had made a massive interference with their timeline, and it was wrong! It had to be fixed!
On the third day, Howard travels to the moon via the technology left behind by the Brotherhood of the Shield to meet the Man on the Wall
From the him, Howard gets more information about Eric and the changes he has made to the world over the years.
But this is not enough!
A large part of the advanced technology surveillance equipment used by the Man on the Wall was built by his hands, and he knew very well that they could not record everything that happened on Earth.
For the sake of Earth's future, Howard turned his attention to the Watcher.
The Watcher was able to monitor the entire universe, storing everything he saw in his eyes.
Moreover, the Watcher, an odd race, would not resist! There was no need for nonsense, let alone using any underhanded tricks, just walk up to him and gouge his eyes out.
The Man on the Wall naturally disagreed. Although the Watcher was no different from a wooden man, his super-powerful energy was not for show, and the energy contained in his eyes was so huge that it would be more than enough to blow up the solar system.
The most important thing is that you can't take away their eyes for no reason.
"You're hindering me from fixing the timeline!" Howard grimaced as he injected a tube of special poison into the Man on the Wall, "No one can stand in my way!"
On the fourth day, knowing everything, Howard went to visit Erik, but was met with a closed door and went back to S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters first to make extensive arrangements.
On the fifth day, Howard visited Eric again to give him the task of the Star Child.
He didn't really want Eric to take on the Star Child, this was just a blatant test run.
The Watcher possessed the strength of a single cosmic level, and what he observed would inevitably carry his own subjective judgement; with the Watcher's strength, Eric was no different from an ant. Although his eye contained the same record of everything Eric did, Howard still felt it was better to try something out for himself.
On the sixth day, which was now, Howard had made everything clear. The Watcher's Eye had given him a vast amount of advanced knowledge, as well as a huge amount of energy, and combined with the knowledge of the Brotherhood of the Shield, he had built the machine.
By activating it, the timeline would be set back ten years!
"It's not even close! I still need an item that can affect time," Howard said as he installed the last part on it, the madness growing in his eyes, "Or, a human being!"
...
"What do you mean? My old man is crazy? That can't be right!" Eric couldn't even be bothered to hide and told everything, to take on Howard with the Watcher's Eye, he had to rally all the forces he could!
"Tony, now is not the time to argue about this!" Eric rubbed his brow, his head hurting, "The world is at stake, and I need your help."
"Oh! Oh my God, you need my help? Did I hear that right!" Tony Stark looked incredulous, more incredulous than hearing his old man go crazy.
"Yes, Tony! Help me, we have to stop your father's madness!"
