When Clive finished making the coffee and brought it to Gem Atkinson, another quarter of an hour had passed.

Gem Atkinson was still sitting there, frozen.

Clive couldn't help but think: everyone says Atkinson is cold and ruthless, but who has seen him as dumb as a wooden rooster like this?

"Father Atkinson, your coffee."

Snapping out of it because of the word "Father Atkinson", Gem was suddenly at a loss. He didn't know where to put his hands, and in the end, just grabbed the coffee. It was so hot he didn't even feel the burn when he drank it.

Clive just went "huh" and let it be. Since Gem had drunk it all in one smooth gulp anyway.

"You said... Audrey has been living in an orphanage all along?"

Clive suddenly felt some sympathy for this completely dazed man and had a great deal of compassion for the man's heavy fatherly love that never had a chance to be given. So he replied, "Yes."
