章節 6: Inside
We passed by the school gate.
She was walking there as if she already knew the school, so I just followed her.
The school is, for sure, giant. Like those royal palaces you see in movies.
Going up the stairs in the administration building, we got in front of the principal's room.
I was behind her, she opened the door without knocking on it and entered, I followed her without understanding why we were here.
The room wasn't empty, on the contrary, the principal was there, it was a woman. She had a short ginger hair.
She saw us joining in the room. As we were about to sit, she gestured us to stop and keep standing. So we did.
And then she gave a look on each of us. Seconds after she started speaking.
"We have already been informed about your situations, don't worry about not going to your first class day."
Yet saying for us to don't worry, she had a fierce and serious look on her face, that can make every student here obey in fear.
"Feel free to skip the next classes, I understand that you may be a little bit tired. As for now you can explore the school areas and buildings. You can find further explanations as rules, holidays, classes, etc. On a paper that is inside each one room. In case of losing or needing a timeline, you can always ask another at the teachers office. Help yourself to get today's entrance ceremony information."
She stopped talking, we did a bow to show respect. I think doing a bow is a little bit unnecessary, but whatever, I just did the same as Kayla.
"You two are dismissed." She finished.
We both were walking towards the door to leave the room, I was a little behind.
"You, boy, wait." Before passing by the door she called me. Yet Kayla didn't even turned her head and just continued walking.
I was in front of her, waiting for something.
"I need you to answer me something." She said.
I nodded.
"Why did you both come here together?" She asked me, now staring hardly at my confused face.
What kind of question is this? Why does she care? I don't think she has anything to do with this.
I stared back for couple seconds before answering her.
"Hm… Well, she― By coincidence we were in the same hospital, so I asked her where the school is and she led me there."
"So you don't know each other?" She asked me again, just after I finished talking.
"No, we don't know each other." I answered her, formally. Then again, why is she asking me this?
"Great. You can go ahead too."
So I left her room.
I couldn't help but think that her questions were sus. Maybe she is related to this girl.
Anyways, now I have a problem. I don't know where I'm in this giant place.
First I went down the stairs and then, I was outside the building.
Looking at the countless signs around the floor's path, I decided to go to the stage hall first. I don't know what time it is but I guess it is almost 12 p.m.
Following the signs, I entered another huge building and walked through the corridors.
I joined the place which hadn't any doors. The room had a flat floor and a lot of chairs, similar to the chairs you see in a cinema.
The stage after the chairs is huge, painted in black and with long red curtains, matching the color of the wall.
I took a look at the hall and left some minutes later.
As the principal said, I started exploring the school.
When the time reached 12 p.m. you could hear a noisy alarm, I started to go towards the cafeteria.
I arrived there without knowing if it was open. In the wall near the entrance you could see the meals, lunches and the time it is open.
"Breakfast" I started reading the schedule signs.
"From 6am to 8am."
"Lunch, from 12 and half p.m. to 2pm. Dinner is from 6pm to 9pm. Ok. "
If you want to get a great breakfast, you need to wake up early. The same for dinner and lunch, you have to arrive early.
The entrance was blocked by a board saying "closed", I still had half an hour before going there again. The hallways were empty because the students were having a class or something.
I went towards the dorms. The dorm was a bit far from the other buildings, but you only needed to follow a path to reach here.
As far as I can say about the buildings I have seen until now, the dorm is the biggest place here. It looked like a mansion or a hotel.
I entered the place and followed to my room, I picked a key that the principal gave me and unlocked the door.
The room wasn't very big as I expected. But I can't say it is small. By the door you couldn't see a minimalist kitchen, with a fridge, a microwave and a small sink.
Inside the room you had a large table with chairs that could be used for eating or study purposes.
Last but not least, you have a door that leads to the bedroom.
I joined there and saw 2 beds, each on one side, the room didn't have anything in addition.
I returned to the cafeteria after checking my room. It was already open.
Only a few people were there, it must have been opened just now.
I filled my plate with self-service food, you can order something specific too, but it is quite expensive to do this.
Most of the tables were empty so I went to the nearer one.
I was about to sit before I saw Kayla eating on a table in the corner, almost hidden.
Like someone who doesn't want anything, I walked towards her. I sat on the other side of the table, she noticed me and took a glance, and then continued to eat.
She finished the lunch earlier than me and left the hall.
I left the hall after finishing my lunch and headed towards the dorms.
Now I could see a lot of students spread along the school.
Taking a better look at the dorm hallways, I saw several bathrooms, separated by gender, of course.
I reached my room and the door was locked. This is odd since I didn't lock the door when I went here earlier.
I joined the room. It is still the same as before.
Going further inside the room, I could see something new. When did they put a sofa here?
Besides the sofa, another thing entered inside my mind.
She was there! Lying down on the couch while reading a book. I got dazed by this wonderful vision, she was wearing a short sweater, too!
Oh man, for half a second I thought I was in heaven.
I snapped back to reality, she was too focused on the book that she hadn't realized that I was there.
Without bad intentions, I left the room. How could I disturb her?
I closed the door and sat beside it.
Then I heard a knob sound by my side, she was glancing outside the room out of the corner of her eye.
She saw me there.
