章節 173: Arcana(HP Xover/WC)-3
"Glacius." I chanted once as I pointed my wand and the magic froze my already stabbed target. "Popsicle time." It was funny, none of the gods that I was connected to had any kind of connection to ice, especially Seth, yet ice based spells were slowly becoming a favorite of mine. It could kill nuisances like Lindworms and get me a nice treat when I was in the mood, they were amazing.
Heh, maybe one day I would make myself a house out of ice. It probably would be better, or at least less boring, than living in the orphanage.
I probably could have dealt with the whole orphanage thing by using magic or even the funds that Company gave me but... there was no way to word it nicely, I didn't do it because I couldn't be arsed into doing it. I probably would have done something in the fifth year if things had gone as similar to canon but I never could find the motivation to do it till now, it wasn't like the orphanage was a evil place of abuse that most Potter fans would imagine it to be. Or if it was, the people there weren't brave enough to make problems for me.
Anyway, it was about time for me to leave for Diagon Alley and see if there were anything interesting, or anyone dumb enough to get robbed. Maybe that potion shop in Knockturn Alley would have…
"Rigel!" I was roused from my thoughts by a shout coming from below the floor. "There is someone here to see you!"
"Coming." I yelled back and got up from my bed. This was unexpected, the only time someone had actually come to see me in orphanage was professor Mcgonagall and that was for the whole Hogwarts letter thing, so I had no idea who this might be. Maybe a visit from dear 'gramps'? It had been only two days since our meeting though and something told me that a god wouldn't just meet you every other day like a normal family member. Though considering the way the Allfather had acted in our meeting... it wasn't out of question.
"You're finally here." But it seemed like that wasn't the case since the person beside the matron definitely wasn't Odin. I deduced that due to the fact that he had two eyes.
He was still old, less of an 'aged gracefully' thing that Odin had and more along the lines of Dumbledore. The man before me wasn't as old as the headmaster of Hogwarts, but it was a close thing. Though he definitely had a far better fashion sense with the black suit under a trench coat and shortly trimmed beard that gave him a more distinguished feeling rather than the more... eccentric choices most people I knew had. He was also rocking an awesome black cane with a metallic handle.
"Is he the one?" He didn't exactly seem impressed with me though, or maybe his voice was always coarse and commanding like that.
"Yes, this is Rigel. Is there anything else you..."
"No need." The old man rudely interrupted the matron with a snap of his hand, now holding a wand pointed right between her eyes, and her eyes suddenly became glossy.
"Come with me, there is something I want to confirm."
"Cool, an explanation or some introductions before that would be nice though." I said with a raised eyebrow, my opinion of the man going down and down.
"It also would have been nice if a fucking crow didn't just barge through my window with a letter claiming that you were my great grandson, especially since my house is warded against messengers." Oh gramps, what did you do?
In the unavoidable truth that my ancestor had troubled this old man, I decided to not cause more issues for once and follow after him. The worst case scenario where he turned hostile, I could just fight my way out. Or just teleport away if he turned out to be stronger than I thought. But still...
"Can I at least have a name?"
"...Arcturus, Arcturus Black." Oh, boy.

"So, how long do these tests actually take?" I asked as the goblin that had just told me to give him my blood dropped a drop of my blood on a parchment.
"It largely depends on for whom they are doing these tests for. The more valuable you are as a potential customer, the faster the result." Arcturus said with a sigh, right before the goblin came back with a sharp smile on his face.
"Congratulations lord Black, the results are positive." The little monster said as he passed a parchment to Arcturus who looked at for moment before he seemed to sag down with relief, like a huge weight had been taken off of his shoulder.
"The crow's message was right, you are my great grandson." He said as he looked down at me with something of a mix of affection, greed and relief. "You are the son of my grandson, Regulus Arcturus Black."
"...you named your grandson after yourself?"
"No, my suck up son did." He answered with a shrug, he seemed quite a bit relaxed and chatty compared to before the reveal.
Not that I could blame him. Considering the state of the Blacks that I knew of like Bellatrix, Narcissa, Sirius and Regulus; who was apparently my father. Speaking of which, damn Regulus. The whole fandom tended to talk about the guy like he was some ball-less boy who just did whatever his mom told him to till he finally found his balls and sabotaged Voldemort's cheating death plans. Guess he also found his balls when he met my mother, the three faced chthonic goddess of witchcraft, right before burying them into her.
Respect.
"Come Rigel, it is time to go home."
