Chen Enci withdrew her arm, just about to get up, when someone grabbed her waist and forcefully pushed her down. As she leaned forward, her heart skipped a beat. Before she could even react, she unexpectedly found herself sprawled on top of Qin Jie.

He had taken a shower not too long before bed, the fresh scent of his bath gel and shampoo instantly filled her senses.

His home didn't have any of her belongings, so she used the same bath set he did in his bathroom. She had used it numerous times, finding it pleasant besides being refreshing, but never perceived it as having a notable scent.

However, with the fragrance lingering on him now, she found herself inexplicably drawn to it, even going as far as to unconsciously sniff him.

"What's all this fuss about in the middle of the night?"

His sleepy voice, muffled with fatigue, was low, almost a whisper, like the mutterings of a dream.
