"Is she worried about Junfeng?"
Lord Xia flicked his sleeve, furious.
The father and son were well aware that Hou Dieyi was not worried about her son. She was worried about her own interests and whether the Hou family could still gain a foothold in the royal court in the future.
Hou Dieyi's concern for Xia Junfeng was barely noticeable.
If she was really worried, she would not have followed the servants' advice to come and assess Lord Xia's attitude towards Xia Junfeng.
"Her attitude only makes it more convincing, doesn't it?" Xia Huafeng reminded with a smile.
Lord Xia sighed heavily.
No matter how much of a headache his wife was, he had to continue doting on her. After all, she had birthed Xia Junfeng.
"I can't leave under these circumstances. You send word to Junfeng."
"I understand."
Xia Huafeng nodded and left the study, already changed into servant's clothes.
…
It was nighttime.
