There were different responses once the news had published the article about the challenge that came from Alyssia.

Chinjao was too busy laughing so much that he was causing damage to his surroundings so his grandsons had to try to restrain him so that he did not cause further trouble.

Akainu saw the newspaper article and turned it to ash due to his extreme anger towards the fact that someone had dared to challenge the authority and prestige of the Marines.

The hot lava was steaming and heating up his surroundings which had made Sengoku scold him.

Sengoku and Tsuru had been talked about their old friend as they speculated the potential response that would come from Garp and how the battle would affect the world in both scenarios whether he won or lost.

Garp was not just any old Marine, he was the hero of the Marines who many people looked up to and aspired to be like him or to at least reach his level of power and fame.

His status was so large that it was difficult to shake up due to his many accomplishments and having him defeated at such a time was not good for the Marines.

One year was not enough time to build up the Marines once again after the war, while there were some strong people that had joined during that time, the Marines were still trying their best to pull in more strong talents.

Garp was one of their most attractive selling points to the masses along with their recent accomplishments, if Garp suffered a loss then it was a whole loss for the organisation that he was a part of.

Even if he won, there was always a chance that people would notice how he had weakened from the time he was in his prime and would take that as a sign of the Marine's power dropping too.

There were always those that would use the fight for their own gains and could interfere with it in between the duel or afterwards once both fighters were tired and weakened.

Not anyone could call out Garp for a duel but since Alyssia was gaining influence of her own and had been known to be strong, the news had generated a very large public expectation upon the Marine's and Garp's response.

If they denied the request then it could possibly result in speculations about the Marines or Garp being too scared to go through with the duel.

The Marines being associated with the word 'coward' was never good for their public image that they had spent a long time building up.

Their pride would make it difficult for them to turn down such a public challenge that spread out so quickly.

Morgans had been so excited that even he could not be stopped in time before the news was spread out into the world.

It would not be a surprise for his stories to be edited or removed at times due to the orders of the Marines or the World Government but the article was too much for him to bury.

He was very curious about what would happen just like many others in the world was so why should others get in the way of it and spoil the fun for everyone?

Meanwhile in other parts of the world, Big Mom was laughing at the recklessness of Alyssia who was still to young and inexperienced to be able to successfully make any big moves successfully in the New World.

Even Big Mom would hesitate to confront Garp and she still had a little fear of him from back in her old pirate days under her old crew.

Garp and Roger along with some others were just too strong to face off against even though they did not use a Devil Fruit power of their own, their use of Haki and their combat abilities were just on a level of their own.

To Big Mom, Alyssia was just a reckless child who had not yet been confronted with the reality of the world.

Alyssia would soon find that there were certain things that just could not be achieved and that harsh reality would forever let her know where her place was in the world.

It was just another public show of another rookie being crushed in her eyes and nothing less but she did find it amusing that Alyssia had created such a big event out of it.

Meanwhile other famous figures like Kaido and Shanks had shown interest towards the sudden event.

Kaido was too drunk at the time so had spent some time laughing over how the younger generation were so fired up recently and how it left him excited for a strong contender appearing among them to be able to give him a fun battle.

Shanks was busy partying with many older pirates that seemed to have been too weak or old to continue their life as pirates but they had been protected under the Red Haired Pirates.

He was surprised that Blackbeard had been injured and had to go away to recuperate from his wounds which had caused others to try and contest for the territories that he had taken over.

He was then left further surprised that Alyssia had called out someone like Garp so publicly.

Alyssia was someone who was unpredictable to him, normally he would be able to know enough about the world and to make the best judgements at the time but Alyssia had surprised him.

Just when her goals seemed to be guessed by him and others, she moved suddenly without warning and often her goals behind those movements were never shown on the surface.

It was difficult to predict what Alyssia was often after when she rarely moved around and made big moves in the world.

She did not overreach for things that were not her own and when she did go somewhere, nobody could possibly know that she was using her system to purchase skills or to collect the surrounding skills that were related to what she already owned.

It was not like there had been anyone that had been tortured to teach her techniques or there had been any sudden break ins that had happened on an island that she visited so nobody could know that she had stolen such valuable things from others.

It was undetectable so her other actions on the islands she visited had been what had been used to compile the information on her that would be analysed by others.

Meanwhile in other locations the Warlords, the World Government and even key figures that held their own influence like those that were a part of the criminal underworld were busy speculating about her challenge and what it meant.

Shortly afterwards, bets started to be taken about the response of the Marines and if the duel did happen, bets were placed in advance for who would come out as the winner.
