章節 61: Chapter 61

"Don't worry, I will solve Ms. Roshan's problem."

The Ghost Rider looked at the Ancient One, who had approached, and after a long moment, he slowly nodded. "That's good. If you can guarantee Roshan's safety, then I will join forces with you to deal with the Witch Heart Demon. Three days from now, at midnight, I will go to the abandoned ruins of San Van Gonzal to meet the Witch Heart Demon and negotiate with him. I will give him a fake contract. I hope you can rescue Roshan before he realizes the contract is fake."

"Don't worry; this matter is left to me," the Ancient One replied seriously.

The Ghost Rider heard her words but said little more. He turned around, walking through the mirrored space, returning to his human form—Johnny—and rode away on his motorcycle, which had also returned to its original state.

After the Ghost Rider left, the Ancient One turned to Abel and asked, "Mage Abel, have you decided to go to the ruins of San Van Gonzal three days from now at midnight?"

"I really want to see the power of the Witch Heart Demon. Besides, as an ally, I should also participate in this action, right?"

"Well, then I will ask Kaecilius and Daniel to pick you up. The location in San Van Gonzal is not easy to find; it's just right for them to lead the way."

"Yes, I appreciate it in advance."

"As you said, we are allies. No thanks for such a small matter."

Smiling at Abel, the Ancient One waved her hand and turned to lead the others away.

Before leaving, Abel said goodbye to Kaecilius, Daniel, Wong, and even Mordo. After they stepped into the transfer door and left, Abel found himself alone in the abandoned little park that had no mirrored space. He returned home.

After a conversation with Terea and watching an episode of Desperate Housewives, which filled her with complaints, he took a shower and returned to his room. Sitting at his desk, he began writing magic notes.

It wasn't until midnight that Abel finished documenting all his understanding of the changes in the Lihuo Mantra at this stage.

Looking at his past notes, he vaguely discovered a pattern: some of the magic from his previous life remained unchanged, some had only minor changes, while others underwent significant transformations. There was a discernible rule in these changes: although not all powerful magic from his previous life changed drastically, the magic that did change significantly was predominantly high-level magic, whether black or white.

The Guardian God Curse and Lihuo Curse were included in this category!

This rule couldn't be coincidental; there had to be some underlying issue he had yet to uncover. It seemed that as his magical power grew, he would gradually attempt to experiment with the high-level magic from his previous life. Perhaps he could discern the reasons and laws governing the magical changes from before.

What was certain, however, was that the three unforgivable spells would inevitably change. With his current strength, he found it challenging to guarantee perfect control over the power of those spells, necessitating a postponement of his research.

Finally, due to the alterations in the Patronus Curse, he could also consider studying specific spells from his previous life, such as the comic curse meant for Dementors, akin to the Patronus Curse, and other spells for particular objects or creatures. There might be new discoveries to make.

After jotting down this passage, Abel pondered for a moment before closing his notebook.

He put the magic notes into his storage bag and retrieved a natural white crystal and something resembling a design drawing.

Upon closer inspection, it was evident that the drawing depicted a necklace. The pendant was a white crystal polished into a circle, adorned with numerous ancient magical texts.

This creation was a contingency plan after Mephisto had threatened Abel using Terea. Should Terea find herself in danger, he could use this item to protect her and create an opportunity for himself to rush to her rescue. He had crafted this item, which enabled him to join Dumbledore's Order of the Phoenix, utilizing his skill in wand-making, making this task straightforward for Abel.

He took out the small file and began meticulously polishing the natural white crystal in his hand.

This item was a premium piece, rare and exquisite, brought to him by Tony. Therefore, Abel polished it with great care. Currently, Terea was still quite safe, so he wasn't overly anxious, ensuring precision in his work.

The energy of a magician generally remained quite robust; without combat, he could go a day or two without sleep.

Yet even Abel felt a hint of fatigue after spending the entire night working on the white crystal. As the first rays of sunlight crept into his room through the gap between the window and the curtain, illuminating his desk, he paused what he was doing, stretched, and prepared to eat something to rest.

Ding!

His phone rang.

Abel picked it up, opened the screensaver, and immediately saw a text message from Tony.

"Abel, come see me if you're free today."

Not wanting to send a text back, Abel found it a hassle and dialed Tony directly. When the call connected, he said, "What's going on so early in the morning?"

"You forgot? Today is the day Stark Tower is completed. I'd like to invite you to visit our research base."

"Research base? What does that entail?"

"I thought about it yesterday. I believe it's better to consolidate everything to ensure the safety of our research projects. Since Stark Tower was completed ahead of schedule, I decided to set the research base here, on top of it. All of our grassroots belong to our private territory, so you can come here directly with a slam."

"Aren't you supposed to discuss this kind of thing with me?"

"Regardless, your company will operate normally, but your research will be housed in Stark Tower. It doesn't make much difference, does it? Besides, you didn't intend to show your face. You just want to stay behind to study and harvest results, right? This won't affect your requests at all."

"But I can't shake the feeling you have another purpose."

"In any case, I won't harm you, right?"

After this long period, Abel knew well that Tony wouldn't harm him. They had become very good friends, and thus he trusted him.

"Well, then do as you wish."

"Great! When do you plan to come?"

"After noon."

"Okay, then I'll be waiting for you!"

With that, Tony hung up the phone, glancing at the brand-new armor design displayed on the light curtain in front of him, a smile breaking across his face.

On the design drawing of the armor, a line of text stood out, indicating the name of this new armor: Mark Ω Anti-Magic Armor!
