Quin's eyes were blessed as soon as he opened them because Xavier's handsome face greeted him.

[And he's sitting on my bed.]

Well, more like a mattress.

When he moved into the cabin, he had to share the bedroom with the merman. But he was too lazy to organize his side of the room. Moreover, he knew that he wouldn't have time to sleep anyway. Hence, he just dropped the mattress next to the bed and called it his personal space.

"Good morning," Quin said after he gathered his wits, then he got up while stretching his arms. "How long did it take for me to wake up after you injected the syringe into me?"

He put himself in a dangerous situation in the name of the experiment.

To be precise, he asked Yvo to attack him the way the late grand duke hit Yvette, causing his poor cousin to fall into a comatose state for years. But, of course, Yvo didn't attack him with the intention to kill him.
