Tang Yuxin entered the ward where Gu Ning was staying with two lunch boxes in hand. As she walked in, he already had his eyes open, having heard her footsteps.

She set down the lunch boxes and first changed Gu Ning's medication.

Then she placed one of the lunch boxes before him.

"This is for you," she said.

She also took one of the lunch boxes for herself, removed her mask, sat aside, and started to eat.

This was the first time that Gu Ning really observed the doctor who had been taking care of him. She was younger and prettier than he had imagined, with an attractive face, youthful yet sophisticated. One look at her, and he felt at ease with her appearance.

There were only two types of women in his eyes, those that were pleasing to look at and those that were not.
