I received a call from an unknown number while I'm about to rest. I answer it. "Hi! Am I speaking to Dr. Dallience Sullen?" says the cute voice over the phone as if I'm talking to a customer service representative from my network.
"Yes, speaking," I answered shortly.
"I need you to be at the Heart Medical Center right away," she says with command.
My eyebrow wants to meet and I want to ask who is she to command me to go to the hospital when the owner of the hospital himself says I can do whatever I want. "May I know whom I speaking with?" I ask.
"This is Dr. Abstract Wrightwood. Come to the hospital right now or else I'll be the one coming to your house and pull off your ear for you to be here."
"There's no way I will do that and there's no way you can find me," I said out of teasing.
She laughed sarcastically. "Then, let's see. If I find you within five minutes, I'll dissect you alive without any anesthesia so you can feel the pain or you'll be here before five minutes ends. Your timer starts now. Tick-tac!" she said then ends the call.
I don't know what made me feel the chill but it seems she was serious about the five minutes and as if she knew where to find me. I don't want to be dissected alive so I need to be in the hospital or else I might find myself lying on the hospital bed and seeing myself with blood sprouting all over my body.
A minute before five minutes, I finally got to the hospital due to the house being just near though it'll be twenty minutes all in all from getting ready then be at the hospital. I was about to go to ask the nurse in the lobby when someone grabbed my collar downwards. I saw a beautiful woman face to face only an inch and I'll be able to kiss her if I move a little closer. "It's good to finally meet you, Dr. Allie. I'm Dr. Abstract, Rackie for short. Now, meet me at the X-ray room." she said and pushed me.
Before she was able to walk away, I pulled her hand and grabbed her collar too like she did and make it half an inch closer to her face. "Who do you think you are to command me?" I asked with an irritable tone.
She smirked at me, which made me stunned. "I'm a new intern here who will take your attitude down lower than your height. Your job is between life and death so you must always look after your patient. If I were you, you won't ever mess with me Allie the full of Alibi." she whispers on my lips.
I unintentionally loosen how I grabbed her collar. There's only one person who calls me that way, and that person is Aki-the-Demon. I suddenly felt a chill through my bones and followed her until we reached our destination. I saw Lunar sitting on the chair while reading some X-ray films in his hands. She turns around and leans her hands on the table.
"Now, I want to know if Storm will be okay if he'll be okay for some exercises because his bone structures aren't that good," she said looking at me in the eyes.
I don't think she's Aki the girl I know since childhood. "I don't think I can say anything about it because Storm has unpredictable condition wherein he'll be okay today, later he's not. And even if I'll say exercise will help him to make his bones make it stronger, his neurological condition will attack him without a sign, though therapy will help him I think it will be much better if his neurologist is there to stand by." I said then I was about to go out when she hold my hand to stop me.
"Your job here is critical, you have to be here every day to look after your patient," she said.
Now I'm convinced, she is Aki. I faced her and put my mouth near her left ear. "I'll do my job as it should be if you let me be with you always like before, Aki," I whisper.
"Allie, you can always do that whenever I'm here, just don't follow me in the comfort room," she whispered back.
A smile was painted on my lips. "I'll still follow you yet I won't come inside. Now, is that a deal?"
She laughs sarcastically. "You'll do your job perfectly or I'll call Dad?" she said with a sweet smile on her lips.
"Go ahead and call him so he'll pull me out of here." I dared.
She pulls out her phone in her pocket and calls someone. "Hello Dad!" she said that making me panic. She showed me her phone showing off the screen of her phone.
"I'll do my job perfectly just let me be with you always and don't tell Dad, please..." I plead.
"Nah! I just called to ask how you are?" she said.
I sigh. She is a bully. I never thought she'll make me feel this way, frightened. I know my father; he will pull me out of this hospital and force me to work in our hospital. I'm forced to be a doctor because my brother dropped out and went abroad to study photography. I had no choice but to follow but still, I disobey after graduating and they don't know where am I. As I said, I always follow her wherever she goes. I was stunned because she seems like she was not tired at all. Here are these nurses asking her to look at some patients in the Emergency Room. There are times she'll talk to Dr. Rovi Jimenez who's a young doctor. She's so patient when she's teaching the kids on arts who are admitted here and lastly, she's so kind to Storm even if he's not nice to talk to.
"I'm going home, aren't you?" she asks.
"I'm going home with you." I joked in reply.
She faked a laugh. "Nice joke. Funny," she said.
*"Aki, don't leave me." I said.
"Allie, I'm going home," she said.
"But I still want to play with you," I exclaimed.
"Allie, I need to go home. Mama will look for me," she said. I frowned. "We'll play next time."*
"When will be playing next time?" I asked unexpectedly. "Ouch!" I cried as she pinched my cheek. "What was that for?!"
"You are out of your mind! You're daydreaming while driving! I don't want to die early especially when I'm with you." she said with anger.
"Ouch! That one is more painful." I stated.
"Stop the car. I'll be the one to drive," she said.
"Are you sure you know how to drive?" I ask because we are slow and her hand on the wheel is shaking. "Oh! Aki, look at the road!"
