章節 41: CHAPTER 40: LIN'S VERY PAINFUL TRAINING
"First of all, let me ask you something. What would happen if someone was exceptionally powerful, but they couldn't take a hard hit." Lin asked and Victoria answered.
"They'd get knocked out very quickly if the opponent could land a hit." Upon hearing her answer, Lin nodded.
"Indeed, so the best thing that person can do is learn to take a hit." Lin finished her sentence and the two siblings immediately understood.
"So far, you've learnt how to fight others above your level, learnt how to hide you're killing intent, formed your astral cores, and fight for extended periods of time, it's a good improvement, but what's the point if the moment you get hit hard, you loose your ability to fight?" Lin finished and the duo looked at each other.
They could see some fear, but mostly determination in each other's eyes. Lin was right, it didn't matter how strong they became if the moment they received a hard hit and get knocked out.
"What do we need to do?" They both asked with determination at the same time, their willpower burning in their eyes. This caused a faint smile to appear on Lin's lips.
'Hopefully, you tolerance is as good as your willpower.' She thought before saying.
"First, let me see your pain threshold. Do not defend at all." Immediately she said this, the faces of the duo became solemn. They both had their bodies tensed and ready for the pain.
Gideon felt his whole body heat up to the point that it seemed that he had a fever. It was telling him to RUN. But he stood in place and looked at Lin straight in the eyes.
It was also at that moment that Lin snapped her fingers.
*WHOOSH WHOOSH WHOOSH*
*SLICE SLICE SLICE*
I am instant, two tornadoes made of scarily sharp wind blades appeared around each sibling before they could react and started slicing into their bodies.
"Ugh."
"Ngh."
The two of them grunted simultaneously as they felt the wind blades slice through their skin and blood spilled every where. But that's all they did.
"Alright." Lin nodded slightly as she saw the two of them hold out relatively well and made the wind blades slice deeper into them, this time slicing through muscle.
The two of them grunted again, but as if taking it as a challenge, they looked at Lin defiantly, and to this, Lin raised a brow.
"Hmm, okay then." She muttered softly, and then in the next moment, the wind blades stopped and the duo had a breather.
Currently, their states were pretty miserable. Literally almost every single part of their bodies were littered with cuts and their clothes were destroyed. Their blood pooled beneath them creating a small pond and they could feel their energy dropping.
'Luckily, she didn't slice through our tendons, otherwise, standing wouldn't be possible.' Gideon thought and waited for Lin's next action. And what she did next caused their pupils to constrict.
With a wave of her hand, hundreds, then thousands, then tens of thousands, and then hundreds of thousands of wind blades appeared above the duo.
And then with another wave, every single one of them shrunk to the size of a razor blade, Lin displaying her excellent control, but the two were in no mood to feel awed.
The hundreds of thousands of tiny wind blades flew towards them like a swarm of bees and reached them in an instant.
"AAAAAARGH X2." The two of them shouted in absolute pain as this time, no part of their bodies were spared of the onslaught.
Groin, eyes, limbs back, muscle, spine. Every, single, part. If anything, Lin didn't attack vital areas and left pressure points, but that was it.
*THUD X2*
The sound of two bodies falling was heard and Lin stopped her onslaught. But the two were pretty much unrecognizable by that point.
Their clothes were nowhere to be seen and they didn't even look like humans anymore. Just red masses of flesh. Their skin was gone leaving only the violently sliced apart muscle which had some parts were bone showed. Their limbs also got cut of, and in a very cruel manner as well as the cut spiralled until it reached their shoulders and pelvis' were they got severed. Their mouths were also sliced apart only leaving blood covered teeth. And forget hair, their skulls were visible!
"That's seems to be about it." Lin said expressionlessly as she sensed the hearts of the duo beginning to slow down. Even if she didn't target any vital spots, injuries of this magnitude for people of their level would kill them for sure.
"I'll have to ask for your assistance." Lin turned around and spoke to the huge life tree which in turn shook its leaves, and in the next moment, a vibrant green light covered the mangled bodies of the siblings, And in the next moment, all the wounds, regardless of size or depth, began to heal at an alarming rate. So fast that to a normal person, it would seem instant.
Ina few seconds, the duo had been healed completely and only lacked clothes at the moment.
"Haa~ Haa~" The two of them got on their knees and panted heavily as their bodies got drenched in sweat.
"What the actual hell!?!" Gideon shouted. For the first time since he came to this world, he was genuinely angry.
"You two lasted much longer than I thought you would, you should be-" Lin didn't finish as Gideon who had activated all of his buffing skills and coated his daggers with poison flames appeared and stabbed towards Lin's eyes.
But to his dismay, Lin simply caught the two daggers by their tips with her fingers, completely unfazed by the green fire on them.
It was also at this moment that Victoria who had activated her purple empress mode appeared at Lin's back and punched at her head. But as her fist inched closer, it felt as if she had punched into a bunch of cotton as her attack was nullified.
"Seems like you two need to work on your tempers as well." Lin said casually as she had expected this type of reaction.
Gideon gritted his teeth in rage as even though he knew deep down she was doing this for his own good, he still wanted her to pay. And so for the first time he acquired it, Gideon activated poison body.
Lin's pupils constricted as the previous insignificant force coming from the daggers suddenly became overbearing and she moved her head to the side while letting go of the daggers.
*SHWAH*
The sheer force of the daggers created two wind blades that travelled 10 kilometers before dispersing, and Gideon had a smirk as well.
*SPURT*
Blood spilled as Lin's soft left ear, fell off.
