Michael looked at the Princess as she slowly walked out of the dark alley with weariness in her eyes. Her hair shone in the moonlight, making it look more silver than snow-white. Yue tilted her head, seeing the driver around Michael, and began to speak with interest.
"What are you doing all alone here? I thought after Aang, Katara and Sokka returned, they wouldn't leave your side."
Knowing that Michael's friends were worried enough about him, Yue was confused. How many weeks have passed since Michael disappeared into the forest, stolen by an evil Spirit? She couldn't even imagine how much they worried about his life.
Michael was silent for a long time, just looking at the puddles of water surrounding his feet. He moved his foot and all the water turned into rough ice, on which it was impossible to slip.
"Do you need something, Princess Yue?" He asked in a tired voice, causing Yue to blink in surprise. "Don't get me wrong, I'll be happy to talk to you anytime other than right now. I've had a difficult evening."
Yue looked into his face, now seeing how tired his eyes were, so she decided to end it as soon as possible. "I need information on the movement of the Fire Nation Fleet." Yue said with a steely voice.
Now it was Michael's turn to look at Yue in surprise. How could this sweet summer child be so serious?
"I... see." He spoke slowly. "But what makes you think that I know anything?"
There were a couple of reasons why Yue came to him with such a strange request. For starters, he may well be a spy for the Fire Nation, and the Princess has come to take advantage of this situation to trade his freedom for information on the enemy. There was also a chance that Michael was connected to the Fire Nation generals besides Iroh, because he had already admitted that he knew the old Master, what if he knows more?
But out of a million reasons, the Princess chose another. "I'm not asking if you know anything, I'm asking you to investigate." Wrapping her hands behind her back, she looked up at the moon, which shone as brightly as ever. "You're a friend of the Avatar, he trusts you, which means I can trust you too. If things were different, I'd ask Aang to investigate what's going on, but he needs to learn Waterbending, Katara is in the same boat. Sokka... No matter how good a man he is, sending a non-Bender on this mission is suicide. You've already earned yourself the title of Master, even if it's unofficial, I think I can trust you to watch the enemy."
Michael nodded, he was actually the most suitable person for the job, even if Yue herself didn't know all the reasons why. Previously, Michael personally checked the protection of banks, casinos or underground establishments before robbing them. Of course, it was difficult to remain unnoticed when he had a prosthetic and an eye patch, but he had a little secret that allowed him to remain unnoticed.
Makeup, fake eye and leather gloves.
But also, Michael had an advantage that he used quite infrequently. His knowledge of the future.
"More then a hundred battle ships led by Admiral Zhao." Yue recoiled from Michael in shock. "He's accompanied by retired General Iroh and a couple of other not-so-important ones. But I think Iroh wants to help the North, even if he can't do it openly. The old man is tired of the war, but still does what he needs to." He shook his head and formed the water 'clone' again. "If you want the North to survive the siege, then before the next full moon, you will have the army put their weapons in order, put a couple of Masters in charge of guarding your holy lake - or whatever it is called - and give the command to prepare for defense."
Yue nodded slowly, still digesting the new information. She had heard from Captain Smollett about how terrible the power of the Fire Nation was, but she was willing to bet that the stories didn't hold the whole truth. So whatever she thinks, it will be much worse. The main problem was to make others see the same...
"H-how?" She stuttered, but Michael didn't even turn to her, choosing to watch the still form of his clone. "How do you know that? You arrived here a week ago and haven't even left your room. How do you know that?"
Linking his fingers together, Michael formed a small sphere of water in his hands. Slowly spreading her palms to the sides, the water began to spin and emit a soft green glow that attracted the eyes of the Princess.
"My sources are not as important as information. You can choose to believe me or not, but either way you will be disappointed."
Yue blinked. "Why?"
Michael turned in her direction and flashed her a smile full of teeth, the tired look on his face changed to something crazier than Yue had ever seen in her life before.
The sphere of water left his hands and entered the center of the clone, changing its form into something far more human. Water changed to skin and cloth, Michael's facial features suddenly appeared in the faceless form, but it was tied with bandages, a metal protector with a pattern hung on his forehead. The clone's clothing was identical to Michael's, but seemed cleaner. But the biggest change was the huge two-handed sword- no, the blade was too wide to just call it a sword. It was a long black butcher's knife with a round hole near the handle and a semi-circular notch near the end of the blade. In length, it was slightly less than the height of the clone, but definitely taller than the Princess. Yue didn't know how anyone could use such a huge weapon.
"Because I'm going to stop this seige with just one death." He said confidently and Yue couldn't believe her ears. "I will kill Zhao and force the soldiers to send Iroh to negotiate with the North." Michael looked at his clone again and smiled even wider. "Well, me and my friend Zabuza Momochi."
Yue just stood still, looking at Michael and his clone. Her mouth hung open in shock, but she couldn't speak a word.
"I thought it would be harder." Zabuza confessed, his words knocking Yue out of her shock. "It turns out that I just needed to collect my Chi into a pseudo-core and surround it with a thin barrier. But I didn't know that I could immediately change my appearance." Zabuza scratched his chin and immediately lost his shape, falling to the floor in a puddle of water.
"Huh, why'd he do that?" Michael asked and Yue could only stare.

The sun shone brightly, sending its rays straight into the eyes of people. The air was cold and crisp.
"I hate you."
"Thanks, I appreshiete that." Michael responded by watching Aang and Katara practice with sadistic pleasure.
"I'm so jealous of you right now." Katara muttered as she levitated several ice needles in front of her.
Pakku may have been a bastard, but he was a useful bastard. The man knew how to teach impatient teenagers and showed his best side when several girls who wanted to become "combat healers" joined his class, although no one forced them to. Everyone in the city knew that sooner or later the war would catch up with them and knock on their doors, and then they would have to fight. This, coupled with Princess Yue's announcement to prepare for defense... Well, one could say that everyone felt motivated.
"How are you even sitting under the bright sun in a thick black coat? Aren't you, I don't know, feeling hot?" Aang asked curiously, looking over his shoulder at Michael.
He just shrugged. "I run water Chi through my body to cool down. Not all of us can go half naked thanks to fire chi."
Aang blinked, losing control of the flow of water in his hands for a second until it was level again. "Hah? But I don't even know Firebending! How can I use fire Chi?" He turned around, leading the water to not interrupt the training. Pakku had already expressed his displeasure when Aang stopped earlier.
"How do you think you survived a hundred years underwater at the South Pole?" Michael raised an eyebrow. "In case you didn't know, it's fucking cold out there, and I doubt you survived thanks to black magic."
Aang opened his mouth to say something, but Pakku's voice interrupted his words. "Don't get distracted! Waterbending may be a pretty flexeble art, but that doesn't mean you can just focus on something else!" He barked and Aang quickly returned to his training.
