章節 3: Benny's Adventurer Party.
Mondstadt is a city surrounded by a large stone castle wall. The city that very much looked like a middle-aged western city featured cobblestone streets and several windmills. The city was a big island in the middle of big lakes. The only way to enter the city was Stonebridge. There were only two gates in the city, with the biggest one in the southeast and a small northern part of the city.
Jack walked through the Bridgestone, the only way to get into the city other than swimming. There was a harbour on the east side of the island, but it was mostly used to deliver goods to the city, and people from other areas came to the city.
"Fuh… to think it would be really dangerous to go to Mondstadt. . To think I need to run away to Mondstadt really hurts my pride." Jack complained to himself.
HP in the game means Hitpoint, which means a number hits a number that a player can receive. In this world, HP is like a shield that people in this world have. So when the HP becomes zero, your body becomes vulnerable and can be killed.
So no matter what happened to you, as long as you still had HP, you would be fine, but after your HP became zero. Your body can be cut or slain.
Also, this is the difference between monsters and animals. The monster had HP, while the animal got none. That's why boar, fish, and squirrels get killed pretty easily.
"If that means… I need to meet him." Jack said it in a low voice. It may sound a bit wrong, but Jack still remembered how he nearly got killed after going on adventures with him.
'Unlucky Bennett'
"It looks like I need to try to join a team with Bennett again. Well, if he is the same as in the game. He will be happy. But, I need to be careful with his luck. Jack talked to himself so much that the sound he tried convinced himself to rejoin with Bennett. He still had a bit of trauma after what happened last time.
So Jack goes to the adventure guild after he successfully convinces himself.
"Ah… Hello, Katheryne." Jack greeted Katheryne, who stood in her usual place at the guild's headquarters, near the southeast gate.
"Ad astra abyssos que! Welcome to the Adventurers' Guild." She replied with her catchphrase, just like always.
"Hm… Is Bennett coming here?" Jack asked her.
"Ah, yes. He is inside the building searching commission. Even after I recommended him to the commission that suits his best, since he always took a lower level commission than his Adventurer Rank. His rank is struggling because of that…" Katheryne answered Jack's question and told him about Bennett's struggle.
"Is that so… Okay. I met him. Thanks, like always. Katheryne."
"Is fine. This is my job after all."
Jack entered the building and found Bennett looking around in front of a board that was full of commission. Bennet was a slim yet well-built young man. His hair was pale ash-grey hair, with light tan skin and bright green eyes.
Bennett was also wearing his goggles on his head. Even though he looked so young, Jack could see a big scar in left shoulder and a smaller one on his right hand. A bit showed off his terrible luck.
"Hey, Bennett, are you perhaps looking for a commission?" Jack asked Bennett. He was a bit unsure, but Bennett was the easiest way to become strong.
Bennet looked up at Jack, his face showing relief.
"Ah, yes. Jack. Didn't think I'd be running into you… Hehe... How're your adventures going lately? Did you come here to get a new commission from Katheryne?" Bennett talked while scratching his head.
"Me, I'm fine lately. I'm thinking of taking some new commission. How about you?"
"That… well. Katheryne recommended some commission to me, but I don't feel confident about it. After all, with my poor luck. It's safer for me to take on commissions that are lower than my actual ability. Haha." Bennett laughed while looking a bit sad at the same time.
"Hm… That sounds good. You're a bit special. So being extra cautious is great. Especially since there is some strange movement from Hilichurls lately. They are even lurking a bit close to my home." Jack dropped his shoulder as he told Bennett he was in a bit of trouble.
"Aw, That sounds sucks! Will you be fine?" Bennett responded as he worried about Jack.
"Hmm… Yes, of course. That's why, maybe it is a good thing to join an adventure team. How about we are going together again." Jack suggested to Bennett, and He looked like he couldn't believe it when he heard that Jack invited him to go back on an adventure together.
"Eh… Really. Jack… That sounds awesome!!! So you're saying that Benny's Adventure Team came back!" Bennett talked with such high tension.
"Ah… Well, I don't think so. Royce and Heckler will ever come back. So it will be just the two of us. Except, if you had someone in your mind to fill in…"
"Aw… that sucks. I can't think of any one… we need three or four members after all. Sorry, I can't help you."
"Well, I think Katheryne will be fine as long as we take a lower level commission. She has a bit of a soft side if it's about you." Jack said it.
"Really, is that true?"
"Well, who knows. Anyway, how did we exchange information about our level and adventurer rank? I'm still in level 6 with adventure rank 5. My status is like this..." Jack told Bennett don't feel embarrassed at all and showed Bennett his adventurer's handbook.
Yep, there is something called adventurer's handbook in this world that provides many useful features to Adventures. Also, adventurer's handbooks were used as an identity for adventurers in this world. Since there was adventurer rank and status, too, it looked like those statuses could be tracked.
"That's… well. Me… like this." Bennett showed Jack his adventurer's handbook.

Since in this Teyvat, there was another way for people to ascend that was by doing something great by his standard.
While in the game, characters ascend by defeating elite enemies or weekly bosses, which in this world, Adventures can ascend his talent to another level by defeating monsters above his level. Others way to ascend by collecting ascending material and using alchemy to ascend.
Of course, the adventurer will get good material from elite monsters.
"Yes… Katheryne also said the same thing. It's just I can't get a party and there is no way I can defeat Pyro Regisvine by myself." Bennett told Jack his struggles.
It looked like his infamous unlucky rumour really affected Bennett Adventurer Talent. Jack can't help but feel sorry for him.
"Well, I can't help you with that. Since my level is too low to take such commissions." Jack replied.
"As expected… Huh. So what kind of commissions we can get…" Bennett looked very disappointed; soon, he started looking at the commission board.
Jack himself looked at the commission board, and there was a lot of commission even though it didn't appear in the game.
Jack thought to himself how dangerous this world was. So he understood why there were a lot of people who gave a commission to adventurers. Even for Jack himself, as a rookie adventurer, the world was dangerous for him. What about a normal citizen?
"Hm… since we became a party. We could take four commissions for a day, right?" Jack asked Bennett, who was still looking for a commission.
"Yes, the adventurer guild also gave another reward for finishing it, but of course we need to do it perfectly." Bennett told Jack, who usually just took a commission, to take care of slimes.
That's something that is different from the game.
"Well, since it had been a long time since we worked together. How about taking an easy commission?"
