章節 1: Chapter 1: Black Team Summoning
"Another grail war has started." Was the announcement to all seven people in the room with the young man who announced it. "And I'm sure you all know… as you are all the masters for this incoming war."
"So that's what the thing on my hand is." One of them Muttered. He was a young lad with bright brown hair, blue eyes and round glasses on his face. His name was haruto Hideyoshi, he was part of a small magi's family with no notable achievements.
"I can't believe I got caught up in another one of these." A woman mumbled. She had brown hair, and brown eyes. She was called rin tohsaka, one of the seven masters during the fifth holy grail war.
"It's only natural the grail would choose someone as great as me." Another one thought. He had dyed blond hair with green eyes. He was shiro kenshin, he was part of a prominent magus family that had a record of producing brilliant magus's. Of course this made him arrogant, and everyone knew it but didn't do anything for fear of getting on his family's bad side.
"This could be interesting." An old man said, he had grey hair and his skin was wrinkling. His name was Rocco Belfeban.
The other three didn't have any thoughts on the war they were going to be participating in.
"Why are we gathered? There are seven of us here and it's supposed to be a war against seven servants." Rin pointed out.
"The war has changed. I've been assigned by the wizard Marshall Zelretch to inform you of what has changed." The man explained, although it would be difficult to call him a man. He looked like he only just got out of his teenage years.
"So what changed?" A man asked, he was in his mid twenties with black hair that went down to his shoulders, he had glasses on his face.
"Well, for some reason, inactive ley lines have recently become active. And the mana it is producing is constantly being drained, we only recently learned the cause of this… which is the holy grail. So now instead of just seven servants it's summoning twenty one. Which would mean three teams. The clock tower plans on using all of you as one team to win this war." He explained.
"So what does the person that wins get?" Shiro asked. If he won he already knew what he wanted, he was already the best at magecraft in his family with more magic circuits than anyone in it. Now he just needed the women, one woman could never satisfy him. So he wanted a harem of the most beautiful women from the holy grail.
"The clock tower wants the holy grail for their own purposes. But… if one of you were to win, and accidentally make a wish, I suppose there is nothing we could do." They all got the message, if you wanted to make a wish, do so. Just make sure you don't tell them it was on purpose.
"Have the other teams summoned their servants?" Rin asked, she knew how important true names of heroic spirits were. She didn't see the importance of them at the start of her war but she knew how important they were now.
"Not fully. One team has summoned a berserker and a saber, and we believe the rest are going to summon their servants tonight. The clock tower has given access to some of the most powerful catalysts they have for your servants." He said, also his name was caules Forvedge.
"Not to be rude, but I have a servant in mind I want to summon. I already have a catalyst for him." The man with shoulder length hair said.
"Same. I already have everything. Once I saw the mark I started my preparations." Rin said.
Caules sighed but nodded. "Thats fine, they might not be happy but it's not like you're guaranteed to summon the servant you want with a catalyst, it only improves the chances."
Seeing that no one else was going to talk he clasped his hand together making sure everyone's attention was on him. "Well, we've got the summoning circles in the other room so if you have your catalysts or are getting one from us. You can do it now, only more delay and I'll get in trouble." He finished off with a light hearted laugh, some joining him chuckling.
"Let's go. I want to see who will lead me to victory." Shiro said, smirking. He and the rest followed caules into a seperate room in which seven summing circles were.
Off to the side in boxes were the catalysts. The people who didn't have catalysts went to it and picked them up.
Shiro chose a broken horn of a beast, in hopes of summoning whoever killed the beast.
Haruto chose a piece of a black crown that was old enough that it would fall apart if dropped in the ground, but the mystery surrounding it was enough to entice him to choose it.
Rocco chose a grimoire that looked old, and was about dark arts. Enough to entice him, because it looked cursed, which he enjoyed.
Rin dug around in her pocket and pulled out a red gem crystal. The only thing that could summon her servant, who at this point in time wasn't even a servant yet.
Waver velvet brought out a brown box in his pocket. He opened it carefully and took out a piece of a red cape. It would be rude not to summon this servant, he made him into who he was today, and he made an oath that he would be part of his army.
Tyler king, one of the masters for the upcoming war, took out a red scarf. Nothing seemed special about it, but to him that made it seem special.
Lucy Bennett, took out a piece of a rock, it held a lot of mystery and had engravings on it that seemed important. She didn't really know what to expect from this but she chose it.
Each of them placed down their own catalyst in the summoning circle and started the chant at the same time.
"Let silver and steel be the essence.
Let stone and the archduke of contracts be the foundation.
Let Black be the color I pay tribute to."
The man in the room started gathering around them while caules watched on. Some of them getting greater responses then the others.
Haruto was having a dark wind appear. While Rin was gathering mana faster than the others. Waver on the other hand was having a slow but steady build up of mana.
The others were messy, but were starting to take form.
"Let rise a wall against the wind that shall fall.
Let the four cardinal gates close.
Let the three-forked road from the crown reaching unto the Kingdom rotate."
"Let it be declared now; your flesh shall serve under me, and my fate shall be with your sword.
Submit to the beckoning of the Holy Grail.
Answer, if you would submit to this will and this truth."
"An oath shall be sworn here.
I shall attain all virtues of all of Heaven;
I shall have dominion over all evils of all of Hell."
Haruto was getting the biggest response, with the darkness around him getting more thick.
Rin was smiling through the burning sensation on her hand. She was already imagining the annoyed look archer would give her.
Waver was also happy, but you couldn't tell unless you looked into his eyes where you could see some childlike happiness.
Shiro meanwhile was unhappy, he was getting a response but it wasn't having any effect unlike the others.
Tyler and Lucy were still carrying on with the chant even with biting pain on their hands. They were getting strong responses and that's all that mattered to them.
"From the Seventh Heaven, attended to by three great words of power,
come forth from the ring of restraint, protector of the holy balance!"
With that all the pulling up mana spilled out and shook the room a little surprising caules who had never seen that happen before.
But what surprised him more was the new seven people in front of the masters. He knew it would happen but seeing it with his own eyes was still a shock.
In front of each of the masters was their servant.
"Are you my master?" They each asked in their own tone of voice except for the berserk who grunted a little.
In front of Haruto was the lancer servant, clear from the Lance she was holding. She had a wine red shroud on her shoulders, with a black top that Haruto couldn't describe as he didn't know girl clothing. She practically had no trousers only pants and a knee high legging on one leg that had gold up at the knee.
She had blonde hair, red eyes and was wearing the crown he used to summon her. She was wearing some gold thrown around her outfit.
In front of Rin was a servant from the fifth war. He had that same proud smirk that she knew but his eyes didn't hold as much hatred as before, instead it had some kindness. He was wearing his usual red and black with his white hair slicked back instead of the young Emiya look she knew.
For waver he had gotten his idol back. His bright red cape, hair and beard. His hulking tanned body and leather armour with his sword on his left ready to be drawn. He had a giant smile on his face like usual, full of pride and confidence that he could definitely hold.
Shiro was disappointed, he had wanted a female servant or the person who had slayer the beast whose horn he had used. Instead he had gotten the beast himself. A Minotaur, with king white hair and big black horns on his head, with black and red eyes.
He had scars on his tanned body, with a red thing to cover his legs and bindings over his body that would provide protection but looked like it used to hold him down. Which shiro agreed with, a beast shouldn't be allowed roam free.
In front of Rocco was a person that looked exactly what he had expected. A pale person hunched over with his two eyes not being able to look forward and almost sticking out of his head.
He had a big blue cloak on with purple stripes at the top.
Tyler had ended up getting the assassin class, with his servant looking like a cosplaying teenager. He had red hair so big that you couldn't see his eyes, the red scarf around his neck, a one piece grey outfit with baggy legs that were cut off at the shins with some red metal bracers. He had a tattoo on his left shoulder and held two kunai.
In front of Lucy was a person wearing a full suit of armour with a sword. She couldn't tell whether they were a man or not but she would find out later. It was full metal armour that was coloured red in some places.
"Well done everyone. I believe we have a great chance of winning this war." Caules said proudly.
