章節 20: Beginning of the duels
In the palace of the great Demon City, the members of the Si clan and the Wei clan were at sleep, resting for tomorrow.
But near Si city everyone was awake because of the great chaos that had happened thirty minutes ago. Explosions, the sounds of impacts, the ground trembling, they heard it all.
The clan members and the guards tried to calm the situation.
They looked up the sky, they saw the great elder floating in the sky. "everybody calm down, I have taken care of the problem!"
The citizens very soon calmed down and went back to sleep, if the great elder said that he had taken care of the problem, then they were safe.
Flying to the clan domain, he summoned the first elder, second elder, third elder and the fourth elder in the great hall.
"tell us, great elder what is the matter?" when they arrived, they questioned Master Si.
"STAY QUIET" Master Si's voice was slow, he looked angrily at the elders.
"great elder, we do not understand why you are angry" said the second elder.
Hearing this, Master Si stood up angrily from his chair and slammed the table, it broke in pieces. "I TOLD YOU TO STAY QUIET!"
"where where all of you when I was fighting alone against such a strong opponent?" if their answers were not logical to Master Si, he would kill them.
"great elder, we stayed in the city to protect the citizens, what if this expert lured you out, for us to come and help you then we would live the citizens unprotected and they would have been vulnerable to an assault."
"What you say is false Fourth elder. the Si clan has five hundred martial artists and at least a thousand guards and warriors that works for us. If even the three of you had come, the city would have not been left unprotected."
"bu-" not letting the fourth elder finish, Master Si resumed what he was going to say.
"you are cowards, that's what you are. Hiding from a stronger opponent like rats. You don't even have the balls to come out of the domain. This is the last time is see you guys act like that, next time I will kill you all personally! Now get the hell out!"
Exiting the hall, Master Si was left alone thinking about what he should do next. He was not so sure on how to act in a situation like this.

The sound of people screaming, laughing, and discussing awakened Si Zhang. When he opened his eyes he saw Si Hu sitting on the bed and looking at the wall. It was very... Very weird.
Today was the decisive day. Standing up from the bed, Si Zhang washed himself and put on his red clothes with robe on top of it.
"brother Zhang, let's go. It is time"
Si Zhang Followed Si Hu, they soon arrived at the port of the palace. There everybody was waiting for them.
"Now that everyone is here, follow me. I shall guide you to the great arena" one of the guards guided the group.
The streets of the great Demon City were large and spacious, to Si Zhang it didn't look like a city reigned by an evil clan.
Si Zhang soon saw a gigantic arena, it was made out of marble. And at the top of the arena was a sculpture of a dragon head.
They entered the arena and followed the guard to the underground. "here, your disciples can prepare themselves for the upcoming duels. I will come back in thirty minutes."
Having said that the guard took his leave. "listen to me, you guys have thirty minutes to prepare yourselves. Stay focused and have no mercy. Who wants to go first?"
Seeing that nobody was responding, the sixth elder chose a disciple to go first. "you, you will go first. We will await your victory"
Seeing the finger of the great elder pointing at him, Si Zhang had no choice but to accept. "I will honor the clan"
"that's the spirit! Tear your opponent apart and devour him to the bone!" nodding to the sixth elder, Si Zhang had forgotten that the sixth elder was crazy man eater like his disciple Si Chen.
Preparing himself mentally to face death for the first time, Si Zhang began feeling a little bit dizzy but he couldn't afford to lose. So he had to push himself and not be afraid.
"Why fear death if i don't even know what it holds. I must only give it my all and if death is coming for me, then I shall wound my opponent as badly as possible and embrace what comes for me."
Hearing what Si Zhang said, the calm Si Zixin nodded his head in agreement.
Thirty minutes had passed, the guard came back."thirthy minutes have passed. First disciple to fight, follow me"
While following the guard, Si Zhang could here a lot of cheering, the voices of hundred thousand people could be heard.
Finally coming upon a great wooden door, the guard signaled two other guards to open it. When the gate was open, the light of the sun shined in Si Zhang's eyes.
"good luck boy" finally coming out in the surface. People began cheering even louder, fifty meters away was a young man standing with his sword in his hand.
But the cheering quetened down when the Wang clan leader, Wang chao, showed himself at the great balcony of the arena. On his left was the Si clan leader and on his right was the Wei clan leader.
"Today, the duels opposing the Si clan to the Wei clan will take place, every duel will be fought to the death!"
The people were even more exited after hearing this. "now let's begin!"
Si Zhang unsheated his sword, preparing to face his opponent. But he didn't know how strong he was, this was a big problem.
The opponent began running towards him, he was fast but not so fast. Slashing two times with his sword, the opponent didn't manage to touch Si Zhang.
Using the footstep technique Si Zhang had dodged the two slashes. "why is he so slow and why are his slashes so weak?" it was odd for Si Zhang.
It was then that a genius idea came to his mind. What if he used the inspect skill on his opponent! Looking straight at his opponent, he gave it a try.
"inspect"
Blue words appeared above the opponent's head, he didn't expect it to work but now that it worked it was amazing.
"Wei Lin, level 34"
