章節 237: Second thoughts

"Second thoughts?" He asked me frowning his forehead, he looked down at me and then frowned once again. As if he needed some extra time to process the question I just asked. 

After taking some time he sighed and shook his head, "Lily I hope you're kidding because the only thing I regret is not having met you earlier because I think every minute I spent thinking of another woman was wasted when you existed."

I smiled, his statement made my eyes fill with tears of emotion. 

But I didn't let those exist in my eyes, "I am sorry for acting paranoid. I am just scared, I lived this already once..."

I justified myself, I didn't want to sound like the girl who gets paranoid easily and overthinks without any good reason to do so but I was deathly afraid that the past repeated itself.

I knew that asking wouldn't prevent the situation in case he wanted to leave me but at least it would make me feel a bit better.
