章節 382: Memories

Adrik safely arrived outside the palace with Alex and abruptly halted. His eyes flickered and he turned to look at Alex with a downcast expression on his face.

"Will she be okay?" He implored in a broken tone, and Alex nodded at him. "She will be," he smiled at him, and Adrik took a deep breath as they walked back to the car.

He took his seat at the back, and Alex started the car's engine, then carefully drove off down the narrow road to return to their apartment. Currently, it was already six pm and the sky was becoming dark with each passing second.

"Alex, could you please take me to the place where I used to live with my wife before?" He asked, and Alex nodded. "There will be none of them watching at night, so it's perfect to visit there tonight." he smiled, and Adrik let out a low sigh. 

He rested his head on the window and gazed out onto the road.
