章節 12: 12. Where To
Unknown's POV
I woke up a little while ago, all I know is that I'm in a dark room, I'm not tied up but as I run my hands along the walls I don't feel a door or any bars or any differences. I'm starting to worry and I don't know if my foster parents, or school will be reporting me missing, or how long that will take. I sat myself down with my back to one of the walls, and try to remember how I got here.
I was out of the house after school, it was a Wednesday. I wonder if it is still Wednesday? I was just walking around Venice Beach. I had taken the bus from near my high school in Burbank down there. It wasn't uncommon for me to do this a few times a week. I always was back at the house before my curfew. My foster family was nice and even though there were 7 kids all 12-17 they gave us space as long as we kept up our grades and followed the very basic house rules. 1. Clean up after yourself. 2. Come home at or before curfew. and 3. If your in trouble or need help ask for it. It was that last rule that I had a more difficult time following, not that I was ever in a ton of trouble but I was noticing strange things happening to me in the past couple of months, and maybe saying something would help, but then again the more I worried the worse things seemed to get. My foster mom got some strange sickness that all the doctors thought was Cancer but it turned out it wasn't and they couldn't figure it out, but it seemed to me the less time I was around people the better health those people were in. Maybe I was cursed maybe that's why I was an orphan in the first place.
I hug my arms around myself, now is not the time for self-dought. I was in Venice and then a strange looking man started to talk to me, not that strange people in Venice are new, but something about him didn't feel right so I excused myself and started for the bus stop. I could have sworn I made it on the bus home, and the more I think about it I can distinctly remember getting back to the house. Great I'm back to having no clue how I got here, who put me here, or where here is.
Aroura's POV
I can't even get the smug grin off my face. Those jerks have always thought they were so much better than us. At one time the jerk-faces' parents tried to convince Uncle Ryan to arrange a marriage between, Conner and Ella and Cassie and Evan, to "preserve the family line, according to them. Uncle Ryan was not interested and clearly told them we were already training to be a full fledged team.
"Hey will you check the phones and see if there is any useful information on them before we ditch them too?" I told Lola
Lola started to open the phones and suddenly a load "pft" came out of her mouth.
"They don't even have passwords or facial recondition, or anything on these, the utter arrogance. Lola looked so annoyed, but in my mind I was glad it would be easier to find out what we need and ditch these phones ASAP. "I'll just copy some of the thing in the phones, then delete all the data then we can toss them. Aghh such dush bags this family is. If I hadn't already know these phones would be proof. I found some GPS concordance that look recent so we can check that out, but also I see some kinda concerning stuff." Lola was talking to me but also herself.
When she didn't continue I prodded, "Hey, what's concerning?"
"I may be over reacting but some of the emails look like they come from some GC members, I mean it could be some undercover thing right?" Lola was trying to make it look better than I'm sure it was, I'm nor sure why, this just proves how rotten Conner's family truly is
"Get as much as possible." I let out a big breath "This is crazy, I don't even know who to trust anymore. Just tell me where to go and we'll start there." I don't even want to think about how we are loosing alleys left and right. But here I am wondering who I can trust and who is on who's side.
"The address is only about 45 minutes away, we can be there in no time. Lola stated and off we went. I'm not sure what we might find but if we are luck those dumb asses weren't screwing with us, and really did find Plague.
