Dallin had known that motherhood was stressful for his wife even though she loved their daughter. It was why he did his best to be there for her and work together as a team even though she still kept what bothered her locked up inside.

She was happy some of the time though. He knew she was. 

No matter how stressed she was when he came home from work, she always relaxed as soon as he was there and melted into his arms. It was flattering but it made him sad too because he didn't know why she was so stressed and she would never tell him. 

Things got worse once Summer turned seven though and he wasn't sure why. Pepper started going places with her instead of sticking to Dallin like glue the way she always had and Hailey was on edge the entire time they were at work. It was almost like the two of them knew something he didn't.
