章節 222: I Can't Afford You

Ava proceeded with her usual grocery list, only adding a few extra things like those frozen hamburger patties and ingredients for salads. She sighed when she realized how much this was going to cost. 

"What's wrong with you?" Zeldris asked with a frown. 

She glared at him. It was half his fault that her bills would be going up. Could she really afford to take care of two extra people's bills? Even with thrift store prices, those clothes for Kael had cost her quite a bit. 

Food…extra electricity and water charges…clothes…who knows what else she would have to pay for now that she had extra people living with her? 

"I can't afford you," Ava said simply. "Have a solution for that?"

He raised an eyebrow. "Are you talking about money again?"

"What else would I be talking about?"

Zeldris tapped his chin thoughtfully. "Hmm…can't help you there. My magic doesn't allow me to create inanimate objects out of nothing."
