What she had been working and waiting for all these years was upon her and she still had one very important thing to do: cutting her father out of her life forever.

It would be easier to simply ghost him but he might hire a private investigator to track her down. She had to ensure he would never be able to do that without facing legal ramifications.

Dangerous as it may be, she had to bait him into hitting her. Then she would be able to file a police report and potentially get a protective order. When she moved more than halfway across the country, she would be able to use the police report in her favor if he tried following her.
