Alpheus ignored that cat at first until the cat suddenly communicated with him via telepathy;

'Alpheus, this is your Uncle, Uncle MaGallan. Can you hear me?'   

'Huh?' Alpheus was stunned. He thought he had misheard, but it was his mage uncle— Uncle MaGallan's voice who resided inside that hairless sphinx cat in front of him. 

The sphinx cat was leaning on the owner's shoulder as he continued sending messages via telepathy toward Alpheus;

'Can you hear me?'

'Uncle?'

'Yeah, it's your Uncle. I used my remaining mana so I could contact you via telepathy. This is the only way to contact you because the power in your Master's body was too strong. It basically nullifies my magic.'

Alpheus knew that his Mage uncle could send telepathy, even if Alphie had almost zero magic affinity. Because they were of the same race and were related, it wasn't difficult for him.
