"Miss Evelyn," Mr Aldrich called her. 

Evelyn halted and turned behind in his direction. So did Elric with a slight frown on his forehead. 

Mr Aldrich approached them and said, "A new case has been reported to our team. You can begin with the other people." 

Evelyn was about to nod at him, she heard Elric say.

"She will be working under me from now onwards." 

She gazed at him bewilderedly. Working under Mr Aldrich was advantageous as she would have got a chance to keep an eye on him. She wondered why Elric didn't allow her. 

Simon looked at him loathingly mentally but covered up his true feelings with a facade of goodness. "I am sure you are aware, Mr Frithswith, she was working under me on a case," he said politely.
