Miles POV
Here I am in my room preparing my thing. I will be going to Cleo tonight to help Auntie Mai on taking care of her. Auntie must do something important in her work. Cleo's nanny is sick, so she doesn't have a choice but to ask me for help, which I gladly oblige as I don't have anything to do tonight. It's a good thing that it is a weekday tomorrow, so it is okay for me to do so.
"Princess, are you done?" My Brother Andrew asked me
"P! I already said you don't call me that right! I'm not a princess. why are you always calling me that?" I annoyingly said to him
"You already know why! You are like a princess to us." He smilingly said to me
"But I'm not a girl for you to call me that. Yes! I'm gay, but I'm still a man can't you see." I even twirl in front of him.
"Whatever Miles. You will always be our princess, so get used to us calling you that, haha."
"P!" I exclaimed to him
"So, are you done packing? Don't forget to bring a jacket also ahh. I'm sure It's cold there. You don't want to be sick. You know how fragile you are because of..." My brother will bring that back again! I'm already okay! I don't want to remember those times again. It's like the worst part of my life. It's like a short nightmare that I don't ever want to have again.
"P! I told you! Please don't bring that topic again!" I said to him.
"Okay, Okay! I won't! I will wait for you downstairs. Mom is already there. I think she is packing food for you to bring." He said, then walk out of the room
My mom is the best. It's already 8 pm, but she is still there preparing some food for me.
I was about to get my jacket in the closet when my phone beeped.
Someone just texted me.
It's Cole! How in the hell can he text me? I thought he had a game tonight. Is it already done?
Cole: Hi! Miles. Still awake?
Miles: Yes! I am. I was about to go out. Why?
I was expecting a reply, but I was shocked when he is now calling me
Cole: Where are you going?
Miles: Why are you asking?
Cole: Can't I ask you about it?
Miles: Not really. I'm just going to the hospital
Cole: WHY? Are you hurt? Are you sick? Do you want me to go there too?
He sounded so worried. I wonder why he is talking like this.
Miles: Hahaha, No! I was going there to visit somebody
Cole: Ahhh, I thought...
Miles: So. Why did you call?
Cole: Ahh ehhh mmmm
Miles: Aren't you going to say it correctly?
I waited for about a minute, but all I could hear was his breath from the background.
Miles: Aren't you going to say something? Okay, I will hang up now
I was about to hang up when I heard him say something
Cole: No! Please don't hang up.
I put my phone again into my ears.
Miles: So what is it?
Cole: Ahh Bii, Can you accompany me tomorrow?
He sounded so nervous.
Miles: Where?
Cole: It's a surprise.
Miles: You know I don't like surprises.
Yes! I'm not too fond of surprises. My life is already full of it: so much uncertainty and unassured moments.
Cole: Please just this one. You can consider this as me asking you on a proper date.
Miles: Why? Isn't I'm the one who should do that 'cause I have to change your mind about me?
Cole: Yes. But please consider this as my payback when you brought me to the lego store before. Please say yes. na na na.
Miles: But...
Cole: Please Miles, for me? Please. Please. Please.
Miles: Okay, Okay. When do you plan it?
Cole: When are you available.
Miles: uhmm, maybe after lunch.
Cole: okay! That sounds good! Where should I pick you up?
Miles: Pick me up at the entrance of BNH Hospital.
Cole: okay, okay. Thank Bii
Miles: Whatever, haha, okay, I should hang up now. my brother is waiting for me
Cole: Is he dropping you off there in the hospital
Miles: Yep. I can't go if he is not!
Cole: They are so protective of you, ahh!
Miles: Yup. I'm the youngest, so it's expected!
Cole: I see.
Miles: Okay. Bye! See you tomorrow
Cole: Aren't you going to say I love you to me?
Miles: you first, then I will say it.
He didn't say anything
Miles: See. so bye!
Cole: Okay, bye. Dream of me.
Miles: Asshole!
Cole: hahahaha
I still heard him laughing in the background when I hung up the phone. I gathered all my thing and was about to go out of the room when I saw my mom waiting outside my room
"Mom! What are you doing here?" I asked my mom
"Ahh, nothing. I'm waiting for you to go out, but I heard you're talking to someone on the phone, so I just stayed back." She said
"Ahhh uhmmm, did you hear our conversation?"
"Partly?" she said, which made me so nervous. OMG! what should I do
"Ohh, my son, don't be so nervous. You know It's okay, right? I will understand if you find someone already. It's normal." she said to me smilingly
"Oh no! Mom, it's not like that."
"Son, you don't have to hide from me. I'm your mom. I know you already. Suppose you're not yet ready to tell us anything we will understand. I'm just here to support you. You know that, right? But please let your brothers and father know before they find out about it from other people before you tell them yourself. You know how much they care about you, right? especially after what happened. So you can imagine how they will react if they come to know this before you tell them yourself. Don't worry. I will always be by your side, so you don't have to be afraid." My mom said, then she patted my shoulder
"Yes! Mom! I understand. I will tell them when I'm ready. Now, I'm not that sure about anything yet. If I'm finally sure and secured, I will surely tell them myself." I told my mom
"Okay, okay. I understand. come on, we have to go down already. Your brother is waiting for you. I already prepared for your dinner and breakfast tomorrow, so you don't have to worry when you are with Cleo."
"Thanks, mom. You're the best."
I just smiled. That was close. I thought she would ask me more questions. I'm not sure what I should tell her or if I should have to say to them about Cole. Problem after another problem. :-(
Why can't my life be at peace!
At Cleo Hospital Room
I'm currently here, sitting at her bedside. I'm holding her hands while I'm talking to her.
"Cleo! Best friend. Aren't you tired of sleeping? You have been sleeping for more than a week already. You have to walk up, na. Aren't your back aching because of too much sleeping? I know you love to sleep, best friend, but isn't it enough already. You know I will never be complete unless you are with me. You are twin, right? So wake up, na. I miss you so much, you know! Your mom is always crying too. You don't want her to be sad, right? Cleo. Wake up, na. You know. I have so many things to say to you.
The plan that I told you about last week. It's been progressing so well. I think I will succeed in doing this revenge for you. I know you would not want me to do this because you love him, but I can't just sit around and watch him go thru his life happily after what he did to you. Did you know that he didn't even remember you! Imagine that? How can someone not even remember the name of the person they've been in a relationship with! He's an asshole! A big Asshole!
You know me. I will never let anyone hurt all the people I love and care about. It's ok if it's just me. I will do my best for this revenge, Cleo! Until I can still do it. You are such a cheater, Cleo. I should be the one lying like that, right—you're supposed to be the one who takes care of me. You promised. But what is this? What will happen if it occurs again. Yes! They said there is a big chance it will not, but we know that thing already, right? We can never be sure about anything. You said you would help me to do all the thing I want. You said you would accompany me.
But what is this? You're such a cheater Cleo! such a cheater!"
I can't help but cry again. It breaks my heart to see her like this. I should be the one who is like this., not her. It' me, not her.
