Cole POV
I'm currently here at the basketball court. We finished a game with the team outside the school, and as expected, we won! It's already 8 p.m. I can't help but think about how Miles is. I asked him earlier if he wanted me to drop him home, but he declined. He just said that he needed to go somewhere. I asked, but he didn't tell me because It was personal. I slightly feel annoyed. Does telling me about it that hard? I don't know, but when it came to Miles, I became so curious that I always wanted to know everything happening to him. I don't understand myself anymore, and it is frustrating.
It's been weeks since the day that he brought me into a Lego store. Since then, Miles and I are always together. Sometimes we eat together, we go somewhere together, I don't want to admit it, but I like his company. Yes, I still do my usual stuff like flirting with other girls and sometimes with guys but still, if I will compare my ways before I know Miles, it's become a minimum.
I learned to get used to him. He's not like the other people who will only flirt or seduce me into bed whenever I'm with them but Let me clarify this. Yes! I kiss them as I taste everything, but I never bring them into bed. I never penetrate anyone.
First, I don't want to have a sickness because of them, Secondly is that I don't want anyone to be impregnated by me. I'm still young to have that kind of responsibility. I have many reasons not to, but the main reason is that I don't feel like it. I don't know if they want to do that thing with them. I still satisfy my need is just by letting them masturbate me. It's enough for me.
Miles is so different from the other. He is never afraid to tell me what's wrong with me. He is never cautious about saying what is on his mind, but sometimes I feel like he hides something for me. He never talks about his stuff, especially if it's about his family and his best friend. What is her name again? Cleo?
Yes! Cleo. My friends said that she had been my girlfriend for weeks. I was shocked when I heard it because I never had a girlfriend or boyfriend who lasted more than three days. I think there is something special about that girl that made me be with her for that long, or I didn't notice that I forgot I have someone like her. I also think that it's not enough to make a significant impact on me because I don't remember her now.
I still remember Miles's face when he charged on me on the basketball court because I broke up with his best friend. Haha, I can still remember how red his face is because of the rage that he is feeling for me, but there is a big part of me that is thanking god that it happen because if not. Miles will never go to see me, and that kiss will never happen. I'm still not sure what I'm feeling right now, but I know he is so different.
He really is!
I was busy thinking to myself when someone suddenly smacked my head.
"What the hell! Who did that!" I yelled at my teammates. There I saw Saint, who was smiling at me.
"You!" I approached him and tried to go to his place to smack him back
"Easy friend. I'm just waking you up from dreaming, haha!" Saint said, then laughed at me. This bastard is getting on my nerves.
"Yes, Cole! I also notice you spacing out, I want to wake you up too, but Saint was the one who did it first, hahaha!" Luke said, then made a high five with Saint
"Assholes!" I exclaimed to both of them and continued to fix my things. When I'm done, I stand up to my locker to keep my things.
They both followed me. Luke put one arm into my shoulders.
"Seriously, Cole, what got you looking so serious like that? It's the first time we saw you like that except when you are having your exams and if you are in our game. What is it about, you know, you can always tell me right!" Luke told me.
I removed his arms that were in my shoulders. and proceed to put my things into my locker
"Yes, Luke is right! Whatever it is, you know we are always on your side, right. What're the means of calling us best friends, right." Saint said.
"It is about your new fling. What's his name again, Saint?" Luke asked Saint.
"Ahh, The Nerd that turns into Prince? that Miles guy?"
"Don't call him like that!" I grabbed both of their Shirt and pushed them both in the locker, which made them so shocked. I know this is so sudden, but I don't like anyone, even them, mocking Miles. I suddenly felt I was getting mad.
"Easy Cole, We are just kidding. But seriously! so we're right! You do think about him." Saint said, then I let them go.
"Tell us, Are we right?" Luke asked me.
"Okay, Yes, I admit! He is the one I was thinking of. I was just curious if he got home safe. He didn't let me bring him home today 'cause he has to do something!" I said to them.
"What the! So the rumors are right! You're finally got hooked." Luke said, sounding so amused.
"What rumor?" I asked them. I don't know what they are talking about. I'm not interested to know things like that. It's just a waste of time.
"Do you want to know?" Luke seriously asked.
"Yes! So now tell me!" I said to him.
"Okay, Okay! The rumor said that THE NERD bewitched THE GREAT COLE ANDERSON., which we all know it's Miles." Luke said to me.
"What!" I exclaimed
"Yes.! That was the hottest news here on campus. I'm shocked that you haven't known about it 'cause it's already been known in the whole university."
"What the hell! The is not true!" I yelled at them. Why are there always some people who always like to mind other people's business so annoying!
Suddenly Saint's face changes. He looks so serious.
"You tell us, Cole! Is that rumor is just rumor?" Saint asked me
"What the hell do you mean by that, Saint?" I said while looking away from them
"We have eyes, Cole. We notice things. You may not be aware of it, but we do. You're so different whenever you are with Miles. You are not the usual playful Cole. You are more alive when you are with him. You smile, you laugh, you speak more. You express more. You treat him differently, Cole. Usually, if you're with someone except for us, your friend, you will always flirt with them. We will always find you kissing each other, but with Miles, you are different. You're talking, Cole. THE COLE ANDERSON! is just talking, haha would you believe that."
"I don't know what you're talking about, Saint! You imagine things!" then I started to walk away, but this two stopped me.
"Don't try to deny it. Cole! We are not accusing you or something! To tell you the truth! We are happy to see you like that. Miles brings out the best of you, Cole. The more amusing is that. He can make your study, hahaha! Do you know how shocked we were when we saw you studying together yesterday? Hahaha, like literally studying, hahaha. We are happy with your changes, Cole. I think it's time for you to destroy that wall you put up a long time ago and Let Miles be in your life. I'm telling you, my friend. He deserves it." Saint said. Luke is just nodded at what is saying.
"But I'm still not sure about it. I'm afraid that..." He didn't let me finish.
"It's not wrong to be afraid, Cole, but ask yourself. Will you always be afraid? What if Miles found someone else."
I was shocked by the thing that he said. I can't help but react
"NO! I can't let that happen! No one can have him! I will kill that person!" I yelled at them. I can't let that happen! Especially now! Never!
"See, hahaha, you can't bear to lose him now! So do what you have to do, Cole. Before Miles finally wakes up from this nightmare of his, which namely "COLE" hahaha," They are both laughing at me.
I can't help but think about what Saint said to me.
They do have a point!
But am I ready? Am I willing to trust again?
I'm still not sure about how I feel about Miles. But the only thing I know is that I'm happy when I'm with him. I never felt this feeling with anyone, only with Miles. I don't want him to be with somebody else. I know I can't stop him if he ever finds somebody, but I know I can't let that happen.
I feel like I can't lose Miles anymore. I don't know what he did or how he did it, but I want to figure this feeling of mine for him. I need to!
I immediately got my phone.
"What are you doing?" these two asked me in unison
"Doing what I think will help me figure out my true feelings," I said to them
They look so happy about what I said. They even do high five.
I need to do this. not just for me but most importantly for Miles.
