Leo didn't think twice before throwing a smoke bomb with the same poison towards her. Scarlett caught it just as the smoke dispersed. She screamed in agony, dropping the bomb and stepping back.

"What did you do?!" Kari hissed, her strength returning. Leo staked her in the stomach, his intent to keep her there while he dealt with Scarlett.

He sprayed Kari in the face, ensuring him enough time to deal with her childe. Marching over to Scarlett, he aimed his gun at her and cursed under his breath when it hit blanks.

With a vampire, all it takes is a couple of seconds, and they could have you in their grasp.

Scarlett had more than a few until Kari screamed at her. "Do something! You will not die here!"
