**ADDIE'S POV**

I left the Ancient Texts building with Sassy, my heart heavy and filled with worry while Sassy talked with bubbly excitement. She was already happily talking about the events of the day we just had. She was excited for me, as a true friend would be. She thought the idea of me testing out of Ancient Texts was amazing. 

"You have got to help me with it." She put on a fake tone of desperation. "That stuff was so hard, I mean I seriously do not even know how you managed it. It was like gibberish to me."

"Oh, well, I liked it when I studied it before, so I guess it was easier for me to learn." I laughed nervously as I tried to hide that I hadn't studied the language in this world, and that it wasn't a dead language to me.
