**ADDIE'S POV**

When I awoke in the morning, things were both better and worse. Larissa was giving me the stink eye when I left my room, but I had Hunter, Uncle Orson, and Violet with me at the moment, so there was no way for her to say something that wouldn't have multiple witnesses. I counted that as an improvement. And the fact that when I made it down to the common room, Hollis wasn't speaking to me either. I don't think that either of them liked the fact that I ignored them the night before.

The parts that were worse had to be the rumors. There were so many more people talking about me now than there had been in the last several days. I knew that there had to be people that were wondering if what Hollis said was true. They had to wonder if Callum was interested in me that way. And they were likely thinking that I wasn't a very good magic user, because I supposedly faked my numbers.
