**ADDIE'S POV**

My heart was pounding with every last 'clip clop' sound of the horses' hooves. They were slowing from the gallop to a trot, and the excitement and nerves were boiling inside of me. Juliana was my guide for this first trip into the noble's part of the city. And, well, I was a werewolf now, and a royal one at that. So, I was allowed to be here with them. And I wasn't supposed to be scared or intimidated by it at all. The operative word in that statement though was 'supposed'. And the reason for that is because despite everything, I was scared.

The carriage finally came to a stop with nothing more than a tiny little shudder. It was nothing at all like the jolt of Uncle Dominic's carriage. And now that I thought about it, the one that took me to Nolan's family home hadn't jolted either. I guess these carriages were of a higher quality that were meant for royals. I really had ascended, hadn't I?
