***DOMINIC'S POV***

I can't believe what just happened. And I can't believe that I just left Addie in that place. I didn't want to leave her there, but I had no choice. I wanted to bring her home with me. I wanted to make things go back to normal. But I couldn't.

I knew when I got up this morning that the dark thing was coming for Addie soon. I didn't think that it was going to be today, but with how intense that the feeling was, I should have known that it was going to be today. It was way too intense.

And, how in the world was it that the king of all people, King Callum, was the man that had been spying on Addie training yesterday? And then I was searching for him looking for the intruder so that I could hurt him if I had to. I wanted to protect Addie, but even if she hadn't yelled at him, the king would have taken her from me. He had seen her magic. He knew what she was capable of. He would have wanted to take her no matter what.
