As far as he could tell, she was also feeling the same. However her mood suddenly changed and her vibe turned to be quite dangerous.
"Just go!'' At this moment her shout came with a faint roar out of her inner anger. Ji Hoon was startled by this before his face turned serious.
He knew something bad was going to happen, something bad was going to happen to her.
"Just go!" she added, and this time her tone was soft enough to melt away his heart.
He wanted to stay. He wanted to help. He wanted to tell her he wasn't weak and could stand his ground against strong thugs, even though her men were nothing in front of him.
But he refrained from doing that. After all, he had to protect his current identity if he ever wanted to catch that boss.
"Just... be safe, alright?" he said these painful words to her before turning around and starting to run.
As he got closer to the gates, he noticed that many of the guards went running in such a hurry. He could see the anxiety over their faces, something he would never miss.
'Is it so bad?' He couldn't help but turn around and check the surrounding buildings. The closest and highest enough one was almost hundreds of meters away from Anna's location.
But without hesitation he darted towards it while he suddenly started to have a very bad omen.
A very bad thing was going to happen now! Was going to happen to her!
Without hesitation he put on his special glasses and pressed on one of its sides to activate his face mask.
"Call the old man," he said in urgency while trying to push himself so fast towards that building.
"What are you up to, ungrateful boy?" The moment the call linked, the laughing sound of the old man echoed in his ears.
"Stop messing around, I need help now!" Ji Hoon said in such urgency while he was about to reach the building.
During his run there, he noticed a weird movement all around that theme park. It was like an army of normal looking, pale skinned people were aiming to surround the entire park for some reason.
In his opinion, they weren't that much of a deal for him. Even with their large numbers, he was confident in breaking his way through them all by himself.
However Anna's weird attitude made him realize there must be a hidden threat than those weak looking people.
"What? Is the police on your tail? Are you on the run?" the old man shouted before adding in an urgent tone, "why the hell did you call me? You know the protocol! Once one is down, he can't get any help from me!"
"Don't say these bad words right now," Ji Hoon arrived at the building. It seemed to be a normal living building. He didn't hesitate to aim directly towards the elevator. "Don't bring more luck back to me right now!"
"Oh, so what's the rush then? Stupid kid, you nearly made me have a heart attack!"
"I need you to hack into any surveillance cameras at the old theme park in the western side of the city," Ji Hoon stopped in front of the elevator which didn't respond to any of his urging pressing on the buttons.
"Sh*t! It's broken!" he cursed the moment he saw this small, badly handwritten paper on one side of the elevator.
"What's broken?"
"Just get into these cameras for me!"
"Is it a job?" the old man suddenly asked before pausing for a moment, "right, you are wanted for several jobs already but you didn't pick one yet."
"Just do it for me!" Ji Hoon jumped directly towards the nearby stairs and started to climb them in big strides.
"Kid, I'm not running a charity here, y'know that!"
"Cut the fees from my own account," Ji Hoon hurriedly said, "doing something like that won't cost you much effort and time."
"But it's an extra without even getting properly paid for it."
"I said I will pay you for that!" Ji Hoon started to pant while he climbed only five stories. This building was at least fifteen stories high. So he still had a long way up to the top.
"Tsk, if not that I like you, I wouldn't have accepted such a commission," the old man started to rant about it, "I never accept any personal commission from my boys. You know that. And still you came asking for my help."
"You helped that jackass Ragel a few months ago," Ji Hoon was trying to decrease the words he was saying. If not he would have retorted in a harsh and mean way towards this ungrateful old man.
"Ah, that was just a mistake I made back there because I care about him."
"And you don't care about me? You always say I'm your beloved son among all, right?"
"Tsk, playing on my soft heart won't prevent me from cutting my fees from your account."
Ji Hoon was already out of breath. He was almost about to reach the tenth level in the building. He doubted he could see almost everything from his position up there.
So the help from his old man was something crucial for him. However the next few moments the old man returned with a loud laugh.
"It's your lucky day kid."
"How?"
"I couldn't find a single camera inside that old and good for nothing park!"
"What?!!!" Ji Hoon couldn't help but abruptly stop. He almost lost his balance and was so close to falling off the stairs. "How is that possible?!!" he couldn't believe what the old man just said.
"All the cameras working are far away from this place," the old man said before adding, "whoever owns this place, he made sure no one will ever peek over what's going on there."
The old man didn't speak for a long minute while Ji Hoon decided to keep climbing the stairs. After all he had nothing else but hope. His spot up there would be enough to get him to see everything, that was what he hoped for.
"I don't like the smell of that place, kid," the old man suddenly said in serious tone, "I hope you don't do something stupid this time."
"Y'know me old man," Ji Hoon said before touching the side of his glasses, "I have to go, thanks for nothing anyway."
Ji Hoon closed the call before he pressed harder to get to the roof. Once he reached the last stair, he was almost out of breath.
In front of him an old and rusty iron door stopped him from going further. "C'mon," he kept slamming his shoulder to the door, "I didn't come here to be stopped by a useless thing like this!"
He thought of taking out his multifunction pistol and shot the door. However the loud bang created by this might attract unneeded attention.
"That old man... damn, his foul mouth is a curse itself," he didn't want to risk bringing the police here. After all his old man mentioned this and this was a bad sign.
"Cling!" The door finally was forced to open. It slammed heavily wide open, while the bright light of the sun brightened the world in front of Ji Hoon's eyes.
However he didn't even stop for a second there and darted inside the roof.
The roof was so simple. It had a low level rim made of old looking bricks. As for anything else, apart from the satellite dishes there was nothing else.
"This is the worst roof I ever saw," he couldn't help but shake his head while reaching at the edge of the building facing the park.
"Damn! These useless rides are blocking my vision," he zoomed in and started to scan the area. Alongside the ruined and useless different sized and shaped rides there, the long and unattended trees also blocked most of the view for him.
However he could at least spot enough spaces to know what was going on.
"This... is bad!" everywhere he spotted, he could only see dead bodies and long trails of red blood.
It seemed like it was a place of a battleground and not a theme park.
"What should I do?" the more he saw the more anxious he became. He didn't know why, but he was just acting exactly like last night.
Something bigger than himself was taking over his heart at the moment. An overwhelming sense of danger was making even air so painful inside his chest.
And he wasn't far off the true events happening here.
Anna... was really in real danger at the moment!
Just after she sent him away, she spotted her guards running fast towards her. From the look on their faces she knew how bad the situation was.
Inside her she felt conflicted about this. Something seemed to get attached to that human to the degree of feeling relieved when he escaped.
'Hopefully he is fine,' she said to herself before adding in encouragement, 'I need to make sure I also survive to meet him.'
"My alpha, we are ambushed by a hundred vampires," one of them shouted even before coming closer to her.
"Transform..." Anna didn't hesitate to issue this order, "use all your powers, it's either our death or theirs!"
She didn't want to risk anything here. After all, the situation didn't bode well for her. She wasn't worried about anyone around her, honestly, but she worried about her safety.
And strangely enough, she wanted to get safely from here and go to meet Ji Hoon. This time she planned to directly ask and interrogate him. What was special about him to make her feel like that? She wanted to ask him that and more!
Her words just landed and instantly all the guards stopped and roared. Their bodies started to swell instantly and a majestic gathering of twenty something big black and grey wolves appeared.
Their look said that they weren't simple wolves at all. However their opponents weren't simple either.
"Damn it!" Anna stood in her position while watching the early clashes going on between her guards and the vampires.
To her, vampires were acting like apes. They were running around in fast moves. They jumped in groups over one wolf before cutting his body into pieces using their sharp nails and teeth.
The fallen wolves had their bodies twitched for brief seconds before they returned to their human forms. They all fell dead without even being able to fight back.
'This isn't working,' she couldn't help but feel stressed at this moment. She thought these vampires weren't that strong to begin with.
However now she felt her life was in real danger!
"Gather up!" she instantly shouted, "gather around me!" and the next moment she let her body turn wild and transformed as well.
She opened the door in front of her rage to take control over her body. Her rage turned into fuel that pumped up all her muscles and turned her body into a majestic big black wolf.
And yet she didn't feel any bit of security while watching her losses. In just less than a few minutes she already lost five strong guards.
Despite such a loss coming on the expense of killing sixteen vampires, this didn't come as good news to her.
If this exchange kept going like this, in the end she would be the one losing here. She had to change the situation and that would only happen if she managed to gather up her scattered forces.
Just as the guards retreated around her, they lost another three. In return ten more vampires fell.
"They are trying to kill us fast," one of the guards said before another added, "I already sent the rescue beacon to others."
Just hearing that was enough to make her blood boil! She was quite sure this sudden attack couldn't be missed from the eyes scattered around the city.
And still these vampires dared to come this deep without a single warning. She was sure this was done by the elder council, and that made her feet betrayal.
It tasted so bitter in her throat. It wasn't easy to be backstabbed by your own pack. She wasn't anyone either, she was the alpha! And that fact made her more enraged.
"Don't count on them to come," Anna had to ruthlessly pour cold water on all of their hopes while saying in low tone to mask her anger, "this fight will end earlier than any of our forces would arrive here."
She just stated what she felt right now. She felt, for the first time in her life, that she was really alone. She always felt isolated, but this was truly the first time to feel it in such a clear and deadly way.
