The knight did not carry a single sword, but instead a pair of shortswords that it used to cut down some of the nearby students on a single slash. Some of the more cowardly students started to run away, but the magicians were shooting what looked like magic missles, but counted in the same darkness that covered them all.
Jaylen stood nearby, jaw wide open.

After her active skill leveled up, she could now see stats as well as classes and level but it was useless here. His stats were almost all above 500, which was the max she could see. There was no way she, or anyone else around could fight that monster, and she knew it. There was no discernible damage to it, and it had already slayin over 3 dozen students. Fortunately, it soon met its match before it could reach Jake's group.
Yorion the teacher had summoned his death knight to fight against it. They were having a sword duel. The death knight seemed to be winning, but neither could actually defeat the other. Jake threw a few decaying spears at the magicians, but a mana barrier blocked it without issue. Yorion distracted the magicians so they could get away, and eventually make it underground until they could defeat all the enemies in the campus.
Upon reaching safety, Jake checked out the event screen.

There were many kinds of event rewards, but one of the most common was the gacha system. It let whoever created it to pick and choose how much of what rewards they could give away. In this event. He clicked on the gacha tab so he could see all of the pull types and their descriptions.
[Bronze Pull] High chance of giving nothing, but can still give high grade rewards.
[Silver Pull] Low chance of giving nothing, high chance of giving a normal reward.
[Golden Pull] Guarantees a reward of every pull, half and half chance of giving normal or event rewards.
[Platinum Pull] High chance of giving an event specific reward.
[Midnight Sun Pull] Event owner will personally oversee this pull.

He knew what he needed to do next. Craft a lord rank item. That was 3 full tiers higher than epic, and would be very difficult if he couldn't obtain some better materials and techniques. For the moment, he was more interested in getting the daily quests done.
He knew he wouldn't be able to survive against the nearby enemies, so he activated the scroll he had just gotten. Lower invisibility meant that he wouldn't be seen unless someone was actively looking for him, but it would only last 5 minutes so he had to move quickly.
It had only been a few minutes, so Yorinon was still dealing with the knight. Soon enough Jake had found an area where all of the students had fled or died, and the enemies were between levels 10 and 20. He was still hidden, so he prepared a sneak attack on the one with the highest mana density, assuming it was the strongest. He empowered a spear and jammed it directly in between the shadow creature's armor. This one was a battlemage, utilizing both magic and heavy armor, but compromising in dexterity and regeneration. He then summoned another and jabbed it into its neck, killing it.

All of the nearby enemies could feel their teammate's death and turned their dark heads to him, directly rushing at him or firing their projectiles. Jake's vitality was keeping him from getting hurt too bad, and with his strong magic he could create spears to both attack and defend. He made sure to hit them in between their armor, finding they would instantly disappear if he could get the spear all the way into their head or heart.
A mage in the background cupped its hands and created a magic lens. He held it up to the sky, having the sunlight flow through it and firing a black beam directly to Jake. The dark sunlight hit Jake's shoulder, burning a hole through his shirt and singeing some of the hair off his body. He couldn't douge, and he was losing health every second.
He quickly shot up using his thunder's howl, so that the mage couldn't angle the lens to hit him and have the sun on the opposite side. He couldn't fly, but he continuously shot back up just before he could be hit, avoiding most attacks.
He would sometimes drop down holding the spear and using his full body weight and force to pierce through their helmets, but due to the consistent use of the spear, howl, and decay enchantment he was running low on mana after killing the group. Some of his blood dropped on the floor, but other than that and some small orbs sat on the ground.

He found two small bronze orbs and one silver. He then claimed the rewards after finding a safe place to sit.
