Dexterity based and heavily defensive mages were the only ones left, along with a shield user who was struggling with a few skeletons. Due to the skeleton's heavy arrow resistance, they remained mostly unaffected as the battle progressed.
In just 15 minutes the only ones left were Jake, Jaylen, and the gunman that won his battle against him, Tompson. Jake didn't want to fight Jaylen for a few reasons, but fortunately the arrows sped up and could penetrate her icy shell. That didnt mean she was out, and her summon's ice attacks started flying at Tompson. Jake was now having a much harder time, having to use one focus a second just to increase his reflexes and speed enough to keep dodging. The last minute did not involve any attacking as the arrows were simply too much for everyone to deal with if they didn't have complete focus on it.

The world disappeared and was replaced by an empty cave with the skill book sitting in a stone desk next to a chair. The book talked about the [Ancestral Tree] and how it was potentially possible to go there, but wasn't available in this book. Instead this was connecting to its power and drawing from it, for a price of mana/ki/focus/health/stamina or any other resources he had available.

All of the abilities were okay, but not particularly strong for unique skills. But because he could turn on and off damage faze, he could use it a lot better than his mom. But on the other hand Empower skill could only ever be used once, so even though he had some pretty strong abilities to add to his artisana; In any case he wanted to save it for something really strong, and the only real contenders at the moment where [Aspect Of Anubis] and [Unranked Craftsmen].
The rocky cave faded out as the book burned up in his hands. He looked back to the class, where professor James was talking to each student one on one to talk about what they did wrong in the combat exercise.
