"They normally do, but they didn't know until I was already gone. After I awakened I instantly left, so I have nothing to worry about. Unless someone from my tribe finds me, then there might be some issues."
She cleared her throat and changed from her serious tone.
"But even so they are only after me so, you guys have nothing to worry about haha."
"What about you Jeremy?"
"Um… I'm a human and was put in the foster s-system young. I'm also on scholarship, but I was just hoping to get away from my guardians."
"Alright, why don't you finish off Yin."
"Lion pride beastman, soldier raised. The pack paid."
"Short and sweet, alright. Now, I want everyone to talk with the group tonight. Team bonding is important and you won't make it far in the tests without it. Before we get into team composition timing I should point out that the test is at the end of the month, and you can expect to fail if you don't have at least a combined level of 20, but with the talent here you should be able to carry the weak links. Nobody will be forced to drop out this month, so personal tests are just for points "
"Now, back to…"
The rest of class was relatively uneventful, just talking about how to avoid hitting friendly units when in the midst of combat. It was easier for him to focus on the lesson with the wisdom stat unlocked, making Jake consider putting some stat points in it next time he got the chance.
"Jake!"
Jaylen looked at him with a huge smile, excited to go shopping.
"Lets goooooo I haven't been shopping all weeeeeek"
Jaylen was alway perky, but even for her this was a bit much in terms of energy, 'She really is a princess isn't she.' Jake chuckled to himself.
"Alright, where do you want to go shopping?"
"To the Divine Griffin they are the biggest magic store in the country. We can finally go up to the second floor! That's where they hold the common and uncommon gear and potions and scrolls and the items I need for my ability."
"What is your core ability anyway?"
"Oh oh it's called Lich Palace! My family sent me a skill book as a present. But I need to find a lich first."
"You can buy a lich!!! They are supposed to be crazy strong that don't even start appearing until level 3 dungeons! You're not level 45 yet are you!"
"Oh nononono, I just have somewhere for a lich to respawn and train. I need to find a permanent skeleton to link to it with a strong magic stat and potential to become a lich. It will have to level up with me."
"Oh. And you can buy that kind of thing at the Divine Griffin? I was never allowed in even on the first floor."
"Mhm! And a ton of other stuff. They only let royals and friends in, so it's normal to get denied."
It truly was a stunning sight. Two huge griffins made of white and yellow marble sat on opposite sides of the enterprise. The entire building was in the shape of a pyramid with more statues of magic beasts sitting atop it, the griffin being at its peak. She scanned her card, and was instantly greeted by an employee.
"Evening miss. Can I help you find anything today?"
"Yes please, go ahead and lead us to the permanent summons on the second floor."
"Of course."
They moved up to the second floor and into a section full of glass cases. Each case had a stat board that listed the stats, skills, and basic information of the monsters or beasts inside. They both went around looking for skeletons, and narrowed it down to two.
[Basic Skeleton][Level 1]
[70/100]
[Ice Mage][Level 1]
[59/100]
Health [50/50]
Mana [70/70]
Vitality [5]
Strength [4]
Magic [7]
Dexterity [2]
Passive Skills [Frozen Heart][Arrow Resistance]
Active Skills [Ice Shard]
A skeleton with the frozen heart, an ability that increases the effectiveness of ice magic and grants special classes and abilities when leveled up. The scroll has nullified the natural exp gain, but it can still gain exp via fighting.
The other one was the same, except instead of a frozen heart it had a deadly heart, giving a bonus to ghost abilities, otherwise known as instant death.
"Which one do you think I should pick? They both look so good, but I'm not sure which."
"Personally, I think that you should go with the ice one. Instinct death spells are strong but lack versatility and when fighting something stronger than it, it won't have much use."
"Oh yeah. Hmm. I need to think a little bit more. They are both only 7,000 dollars, so not too much. Oh yah, you can get yourself something too while I'm considering. I'm going to call daddy and ask."
"Haha, I can't afford anything in this shop. I'm broke right now."
"I'll pay, think of it as a gift for coming with me. Shopping isn't fun alone. "
'She really just offered to buy me something in the most expensive store in the city!! looks like I got the right party.'
"Sure. I saw something on the way in, I will be back in a few minutes."
