Tannen spun and danced around Damdo as he swung blows after blows. The big guy was slow, he noted. However, he was quite impressed with how Damdo could move that quick given his size. But, that was it. His moves were rather sloppy, and he swung his hits too wide.
As Damdo charged I'm for another attack, Tannen teeped him right on the face, dropping him flat to the floor, "You're a slippery bastard," Damdo wiped the blood from his mouth.
"You're just slow," Tannen shrugged.
"I fought and ruled over many underground tournaments," Damdo said, standing back up to his feet. "Damdo, Kowloon City's champion."
"Is that supposed to intimidate me?" Tannen asked.
"My name will be the last thing you'll hear," Damdo suddenly fought faster than before, almost like a blur. Tannen could see right through him; he made up for his lack of technique with speed. Honestly, he had seen faster. His master was way faster than this.
"Hah!' Damdo threw out a fierce roundhouse kick. He smirked when he felt his kick finally landed. Damdo wanted to let Tannen loosen his guard with punches and set it up with a high kick.
"You're oddly happy for a man that's about to visit King Yama," Damdo frowned. Tannen had caught his leg with a single hand. He tried to pull back his leg, but it wouldn't budge; his hand was like a vice grip.
"I like to do things quick, too, so I'll end this here," Tannen concentrated red ki at his thumb and struck a pressure point at Damdo's thigh.
"AGH! Damdo roared in pain as he collapsed to his knees, clutching onto his right thigh. It felt like his leg was being stabbed over and over again. Tannen threw a swift knee right under his chin, causing Damdo to bite down on his own tongue.
As he groaned out in agony, Tannen grabbed him by the collar and rained down punches, battering his face with bone-breaking punches. Tannen was quite surprised how resilient this guy was.
"Wait, stop," blood poured out from his mouth as he tried to back away.
"What happened to that champion spirit?" Tannen sauntered towards him, hands in his pockets.
"I'm only being paid to do this; let me go, and we'll never cross paths again. I won't even tell a word to anyone," his words were like slurs at this point.
"When you threatened to kill someone, you should expect them to do the same," he said. Tannen got behind Damdo and grabbed his head - one hand on top, the other under his chin. He was going to snap his neck. "Give me a good reason why I shouldn't kill you."
"No, wait, please," he begged, struggling to get out of his grip. "I have a daughter - she still needs me. I only took this job to pay off my debt. I swear."
"You're lying," he hated people who lie.
"No, I'm not- my necklace; there's a picture of us! You can check it!" He quickly said.
Tannen grabbed a bronze chain that was hidden under Damdo's shirt and pulled it out. There chain held a large pendant with beautiful engravings, and Tannen opened it. The pendant revealed a small picture of Damdo and a small child about four years old. Tannen clicked his tongue and threw Damdo to the floor.
"Get the fuck out of my sight; I don't want to see your damn face again," Tannen demanded.
"Yes, thank you!" Damdo hurriedly ran off, almost tripping over his own foot. Tannen let out an exasperated sigh as he watched Damdo escaped through the door. Now, he wasn't in the mood to fight.
Meanwhile, Chun Li chased after Vega with her own punches and kicks. Yet, this man managed to avoid all of it by a hair's breadth, seemingly mocking her as he darted left and right.
"That kicking style," he flipped back and landed gracefully a few meters away. "I recognize that from somewhere."
"You mean- you fought my father?" Chun Li asked.
"Ah, yes! Dorai!" Vega snapped his fingers. "I didn't expect him to have such a beautiful daughter."
"What did you do to my father!" She yelled out; her emotions nearly ran high. Chun Li finally had a clue about her father.
"Why don't you find that out yourself," Vega taunted.
"Kikoken!" Chun Li roared. A blue ball of powerful ki blasted out of her hands.
Vega barely had time to react - he quickly moved out of the way in the nick of time. However, his clothes were singed black in the process. Her Kikoken blew a large hole in the wall instead.
"I underestimated you," Vega narrowed his eyes. He raised his claws and rushed towards her. Each strike he threw were meant to maim and kill. Chun Li had a bit of a difficult time dodging all of his strikes; some had sliced thin strands of her hair as she ducked under.
Vega was quick, precise and elegant as he danced around.
"Ah!" A part of her uniform was torn off by his claws, revealing parts of her abs and a trickle of blood.
"It hurts my heart to see beauties tainted," Vega said. "But, the blood on you makes you look lovlier; I want to see more." Vega charged at her again.
"Hah!" Chun Li roared, throwing out a tornado of kicks. It was one of her signatures: Hyakuretsukyaku or Lightning Kick - a move that involved a rapid fire of kicks at her opponent. Vega was caught off guard by the speed of her legs and stumbled back.
"Those aren't just fast kicks," Vega felt his stomach throbbed. It was like being hit with a baseball bat.
"Tell me what you did to my father," Chun Li demanded. "This time, I won't be lenient."
"How about I just show you instead," Vega suddenly leapt up, jumping from wall to wall. In a mere instant, he was high above Chun Li, brandishing his claws. Vega prided himself in his weapon to rip apart the ugliness in this world. She would be another victim that would fall into his claws.
Chun Li could barely make it out of the way as he crashed to the ground like a meteor. In the aftermath, a large claw mark was imbedded in the concrete floor.
"You're not getting away that easily," he sped towards her. Chun Li was stunned by his sudden quickness and couldn't react on time. She was going to get stabbed by him.
Then, a Ki blast. It shot right past Chun Li's head and struck Vega right on his left shoulder.
"Ngh!" Vega collapsed backwards, rolling on the ground. He hastily clambered to his knees; his blue eyes narrowed in vigiliance at the assailant.
"You alright, Chunners?" Tannen asked, resting a hand on her shoulders.
"Yeah," she nodded. "Thanks."
"Who are you?" Vega asked.
"I'm not too keen in giving out my personal info," Tannen replied, angering Vega.
Vega quickly weighed down his options. He knew he wouldn't be able to go up against them 2v1, especially with an injured shoulder that was badly bleeding. Vega quickly made his escape through the window, disappearing into the night.
"Shit," Chun Li tried to go after him. It was too late now. "He's gone."
"Who was that?" Tannen asked.
"Vega, one of Shadaloo's operatives," she answered.
"Shadaloo?" Tannen thought it over for a moment.
He vaguely heard about them during one of his past missions. It was an international criminal organization with a mysterious upbringing; no one knew who led the crime syndicate, but it was known for smuggling drugs and weapons. If an operative of Shadaloo was here, then that could only mean two things:
One, they are in a partner relationship, permanent or temporary, and are working together to ship illegal weapons and drugs across the world.
Two, one is a subdivision of the other, in which one took the role to oversee a particular region of trade.Tannen couldn't help but frown. It was bad new for many countries either way.
"He also have something to do with dad," that immediately caught Tannen's attention.
"In what way?" Tannen asked.
"Vega had fought with him before, but he didn't tell me much more than that," she answered, gazing out through the window.
"Then, we'll just have to find him again," his voice was laced with murderous intent.
"How?" She asked. "He could be anywhere."
Tannen bent down and dabbed his finger on a tiny puddle of blood on the window. "Aren't you supposed to be a detective for Interpol?" He smiled at Chun Li, raising his blood tainted fingers.

Vega groaned in pain as he ran towards one of his temporary hideouts. His shoulder was throbbed with pain, and he needed it to get it healed. He would have to call up a helicopter and escape Hong Kong afterwards. Now that the Interpol knew that he was here, he couldn't stay much longer.
"That bastard, how dare he mar my beauty," he said with seething rage. Vega was going to make him pay dearly for that. He finally made it to the hideout. It was inconspicuous and hidden from normal citizens.
"Vega?!" Birdie grew surprised as Vega slammed the door wide open and walked inside. "What the hell happened to you!"
Birdie was a large man with a powerbuilder physique with a blonde Mohawk and dressed like a 70s punk rocker. He was a former professional wrestler that turned to a life of crime after his career was over.
"You," Vega pointed at one of the henchmen nearby. "Call a helicopter over."
"Yes, sir!" The henchman saluted before running off.
"Who the hell did you in like that?" Birdie asked while a medical personnel began to treat Vega's wounds, applying alcohol and wraps as the finishing touch.
"I was not 'did in', you brute," Vega angrily replied. "I was simply caught off guard."
"Didn't mean to offend ya, beauty queen."
Soon, the henchman came back, stood straight with a proper salute, "Sir, your transportation will arrive in five minutes."
Then, a sudden knock came from the door. Everyone in the room drop dead silent. There was another knock at the door.
"Birdie, did you order pizzas again?" Vega asked.
"I'm on a diet," he glanced towards his henchmen. "One of you, check who it is and get rid of them." The man closest to the door drew out his gun and approached it, opening it halfway.
It was Tannen with his fingers raised like a gun, aiming it at the man's forehead, "Bang."
The man's eyes rolled back to his head as he collapsed to the floor, shocking everyone who witnessed it. Tannen nonchalantly stepped over the man's body and shot all of the henchmen in the room with no remorse. One by one, bodies fell like flies. They weren't dead, but they won't be waking up for quite a while.
There was only Birdie and Vega left standing.
"Hello, Vega," Tannen smiled at him.
"You again," Vega grit his teeth and stood up from his seat. He suddenly threw his mask away, revealing a handsome young man. "I'll make you pay for what you did to me. Tenfold."
Chun Li finally caught up to Tannen. Looking around the room full of unconscious men, it seemed that he didn't need much help at all.
"Save some for me, would ya?"
"Early bird yada, yada, worm," he answered. "Y'know that saying."
"Is the guy that beat you?" Birdie asked, cracking his knuckles. "He looks kinda strong."
"Just get the woman," Vega brandished his claws and approached Tannen, a menacing aura wrapped his body.
"I got questions that needs answers," Tannen said.
"You'll get them once you're in hell."
