"That guy should have told us that the elevator was under maintenance," I grumbled. Gu Yuena, engrossed in her phone, glanced up at me.
"I'll take care of it," she said, dialing a number. "Hello, this is Gu Yuena. We need an elevator mechanic at XXX XXX XXX." After concluding the call, she pocketed her phone.
"We'll have to take the stairs," I suggested. Gu Yuena nodded in agreement and walked beside me.
As we reached the stairs, we noticed a blond-haired girl struggling to make her way up. Her arms were burdened with bags filled with vegetables and essential items.
"Excuse me, do you need any help?" I asked, seeing her tired expression. it was also dangerous to climb upstairs being in that kind of condition.
"Thank you, but I don't need help," the blond-haired girl insisted, determined to continue climbing the stairs on her own. However, as she reached a step, her foot slipped, causing her to lose her balance and tumble downwards. The bags she had been carrying flew into the air, scattering their contents.
Reacting swiftly, I managed to catch the items before they hit the ground. With my other arm, I extended it towards the falling girl, offering support to prevent her from falling further.
"Looks like I wouldn't take 'no' for an answer," I remarked, with a hint of a playful tone in my voice. The blond-haired girl blushed in response, her cheeks turning a shade of pink.
"Thank you," she replied, her gratitude was evident from her voice. The three of us continued walk up the stairs.
Gu Yuena gave the two of us a knowing smile, letting out a sigh. "Looks like it's impossible to stop your luck with women," she remarked. The blond-haired girl blushed at her words and averted her gaze from.
Gu Yuena's playful gaze shifted towards the blond-haired girl, and a mischievous smile played on her lips. "Ah, now I see why Chisato loves to tease Kirukiru about her stuffed toys in her room," she said, her voice filled with amusement.
"Alright, let's stop teasing the girl," I said, putting an end to Gu Yuena's teasing. I could see that the blond-haired girl was becoming increasingly flustered and uncomfortable.
Finally, the three of us reached the front of my apartment, and to my surprise, I realized that the blond-haired girl was my neighbor.
Smiling, the blond-haired girl stood before us and exclaimed, "Well, this is surprising!" She continued, "Once again... Thank you for helping me," expressing her gratitude with a voice filled with appreciation. She bowed her head as a sign of respect.
Gu Yuena smiled and spoke up. "No need to thank him. It's his natural habit to help someone in need," she said, her tone filled with warmth and admiration.
I nodded in agreement with Gu Yuena's words, acknowledging that helping others was indeed something that came naturally to me.
The blond-haired girl looked at me with appreciation in her eyes. "Well, I'm grateful for his kindness," she replied, her voice sincere.
"Don't think too much about it," I said, patting her head gently. She blushed and quickly slapped my hand away, leaving me puzzled as to why she reacted that way.
The girl was taken aback by her own action and immediately bowed down in apology. "I'm sorry, it's just that you surprised me all of a sudden," she explained.
"Let's stop flirting and check our apartment," Gu Yuena exclaimed, expressing her eagerness to go inside and inspect our new place.
"Apologies for that," I said, waving my hand in farewell to the blond-haired girl, who smiled like an angel and nodded in understanding.
I couldn't help but think, 'Why can't my girls be as gentle as her?' However, I also appreciate and love them for who they are.
Each person has their own unique qualities and personalities, and that's what makes them special. While the blond-haired girl exhibited a gentleness that caught my attention, I know that my own girls have their own endearing and lovable traits.
Amou Kirukiru is a stubborn person who loves fighting and has traits of a yandere. Chisato is a lively person who always wears a smile, an optimistic and cheerful person, bringing a positive and vibrant energy to her interactions with others, and Gu Yuena is a Kudere, usually calm, cool, and affectionate.
With that thought in mind, I turned my attention back to Gu Yuena, ready to check the inside of our apartment.
As we entered the apartment, it became clear that my expectations were accurate. The place was nearly empty, devoid of furniture or essential items. There was no TV, sofa, table, chairs, or any other common furnishings that one would expect in a new living space.
However, the kitchen was fully equipped with all the necessary appliances, and the bedroom was brand new and in good condition.
The apartment also has a smart glass wall, a type of glass that can change its properties to control the amount of light, heat, and privacy it allows.
A smart glass wall is made using this technology, where the glass can switch between transparent and opaque states with the use of electrical voltage, remote control, or other control systems. This gives us controlled privacy, light transmission, and visibility through the glass.
Well, I'm very happy and excited about these smart glass walls, mainly because I want to disassemble one of the windows to understand how it works and apply this technology to my kingdom.
