'How should I go about this...' Ryu thought as he held a pen and paper. A new door of new, practically infinite, materials was just opened in front of his eyes. The question is, how should he use it?
Each thing had a different effect, so the question was what Ryu wanted to make. After thinking it over for a bit, Ryu decided to make a head protector like the ones Shinobi in his universe had. As for its effects, he had something in mind. Ryu went over to the two dwarf's forge as he conjured Chakra Metal.
"The fuck?!" Brok exclaimed as Ryu grew two more arms. "Oh, this 𝐢𝐬 interesting," Sindri said with excitement. Ryu began to heat the Chakra Metal until it turned bright yellow. When the metal glowed brightly, Ryu took it out and started hammering it ferociously for several minutes each time before he needed to heat it up again.
Ryu's hammers were clad in Chakra as Ryu slowly built a Chakra Network across the metal with each precise hit. Specifically, he was building a Chakra Network with the ability of amplification. What would it amplify? That's the next step Ryu did.
Ryu reached above his head and closed his fist on a ray of light that came through one of the windows. Ryu slowly went over the techniques he learned from Brok and Sindri in his head as the ray of light seemed to turn tangible as Ryu closed his fist around it. Ryu went over to the glowing metal before placing the ray of light above the metal and hammering it into the weapon.
In the end, the Chakra Metal took the form of a small, outwards-curved, rectangle. It looked like the forehead protectors of the Shinobi, only without a symbol and its shape was still rough. And to solve that, Ryu took out good old sandpaper. Or a very strengthened version of it.
Ryu could've used a machine of some sort for an easier time, but honestly, with his current strength it was simpler to just smooth the blade by hand. He could basically force out the rough patches.
The last parts were to re-heat it and quench it in oil to strengthen the metal, before slowly re-heating it to rid it of the stress of quenching. After that, it was done.
"What's with the four arms? Two not good enough for ya?" Brok inquired as he and Sindri examined Ryu's creation. "That was impressive! What was that blue stuff around your hammer? I've never seen anything like that," Sindri questioned Ryu as he picked up the forehead protector.
"That's Chakra. It's a substance that's similar to what you use for magic. It can be used in blacksmithing too, hence why I coated my hammer with it. If you look carefully, you'll be able to notice that there's a network made from Chakra across the metal. That's a pattern that gives the metal special properties when it's injected with Chakra," Ryu explained as Brok snatched the forehead protector from Sindri to take a look.
"And the ray of light? What did you use it for?" Sindri asked curiously as he took back the forehead protector from Brok. "Well, I wanted it to be usable as a flashlight. And a laser if someone injected Chakra into it," Ryu explained.
"Oh, so normally the light the forehead projects is only strong enough for it to be a flashlight, but if it's amplified with Chakra it turns into a laser? That's interesting, and a good failsafe," Sindri said.
"Yeah, but it's missing something," Ryu said as he looked at the forehead protector. "That being?" Brok raised an eyebrow as he inquired. "A symbol. Where I'm from, a symbol on one of these shows where you belong. These belong to me and those who'll wear them work for me, so it'll be my symbol. I think it's about time I made a signature as a blacksmith," Ryu said.
"Is that so? Well... You're not the best, but you 𝐚𝐫𝐞 good. What did you have in mind?" Brok asked. "I didn't really think of anything... Oh, maybe something like this," Ryu said as he started to scribble something on a piece of paper.
"That's kind of creepy," Sindri said as he peeked at the piece of paper. "...Yeah, I can see that." Ryu sighed as he saw what Sindri was saying. "But I like the concept," Ryu complained. "It's also too complex. You want something simple, yet clear. Something that'll only take a minute to do in the finishing touches," Brok said.
"Then... Here, a simplified version," Ryu said as he scribbled something. "people who don't understand it will find it unsettling, I hope you know that," Sindri said as he examined the design. "It's not that bad. It's cool, I like it." Brok said as he took a look. "Of course you do," Sindri facepalmed.
"Well, let's test it out on the forehead protector," Ryu said as he transformed the forehead protector. The shiny steel rectangle now had a beautiful eye at its center, and instead of a pupil was a spiral-shaped galaxy. "An all-seeing eye, that's my symbol," Ryu spoke with pride.
"A bit arrogant, but I've seen worse," Brok smiled. "Now that I see it on metal, it's not so bad," Sindri smirked. "Are you gonna test it?" Brok asked expectedly as he looked at the forehead protector. "Yeah! Let's go outside," Ryu said as he grabbed the forehead protector and conjured a piece of cloth so that he'd be able to tie the protector to his head like how it was done in his universe.
"Let's start slowly," Ryu said as he activated the forehead protector normally, making it shine brightly. Ryu slowly pushed the protector further and further, making the light stronger and stronger until Ryu could be mistaken for a sun.
"Ah! Shut it off!" Brok said as he and Sindri covered their singed eyes. "Hahaha, sorry. Let's test out the laser," Ryu said as he began to channel Chakra into the forehead protector. The laser started off weak, but as Ryu channeled more and more Chakra its intensity grew. Eventually, although Ryu fired it into empty space, the branches of the World Tree started to char slightly just from the sheer heat and energy emanating from the now giant laser.
And this was the World Tree, something strong enough to hold up entire realms. Hurting it was no small matter. As a matter of fact, it was terrifying. The combination of the Dwarf's techniques together with Chakra was simply astonishing. But Ryu could feel that the forehead protector was nearing its limits.
Ryu stopped supplying the forehead protector with Chakra, making the laser beam slowly die out. "Well, I'd say it was a success," Ryu smirked as he turned around, only to see Brok grinning excitedly and Sindri looking horrified.
"What?" Ryu asked, confused.

Ryu finally has his symbol! I haven't done a segment like this in quite a while, huh? I just wanted to thank you all for leaving comments on my story. It really helps me get motivated and write more in what little time I have, so thank you. I hope you enjoyed the chapter!
