“Hey, man. It’s Gage.”
Flynn chuckled softly as he looked at the screen on the intercom. “I’ll unlock the door for you. You will hear three beeps.”
“Okay.”
“Enter, but don’t ride on any of the elevators to your right. Take the one on the left.”
“Sure. See you soon.”
Flynn waited by the intercom, and it wasn’t long before it rang again. This time around, Gage required his assistance with the private elevator. He told Gage the six-digit password that could be used instead of a registered fingerprint. Then he stood in front of the elevator doors in anticipation. A few seconds later, the elevator dinged, and the doors slid open.
“Hey, man,” Flynn greeted Gage the moment he stepped out from the elevator. “Welcome. Let me show you around my apartment.”
“Thanks,” Gage said while pointing at the large backpack that he was carrying. “Your apartment looks awesome, but can I put my stuff down somewhere first?”
“Oh, right. Of course. Follow me.”
