“Well, well, well, Bear didn’t win. It only took ten days to both bed him and get the collar. Max,” Reed called over the din. “Get me that envelope. We all agreed that if no one won, it would go to Caden and Johnny’s shelter for LGBT youth.”
Tom snickered.
Bull said, “So Bear isn’t infallible.”
“Looks like,” Caden said.
“It had to happen someday.” Cisco turned toward the sub room grumbling because the donation wasn’t going to St. Mary’s.
“The money is going to a worthy cause.” Gary winked at Caden.
“Okay, okay, my prediction would have been spot on if Jake had decided to wait the extra week,” Bear protested.
“If I’d waited an extra week, I wouldn’t have a sub. You guys were making bets on us?” Jake asked, annoyed as hell.
