“I advised John to take Patrick to see you before you became my sub because of Bear and Reed’s glowing recommendations. He was going to call you at your old office next week to make an appointment.”

“Of course, I’ll see him, Sir. When do you want me to fit him in?”

“I wanted you home all of this week to get the house straightened out, but John came to me today very upset. He thinks Patrick has taken a turn for the worse and needs to see you as soon as possible. John didn’t say exactly what triggered his trepidation. I suggested the ER and a stay in the Psychiatric unit, but John thought that would hurt his marriage and Patrick’s chances for success at his new job. He felt it wasn’t necessary at this time.”

“I could see him tomorrow, but I don’t have an office.”
