“How are you going to get there? You came in my car.” Keith asked in what he hoped was an even tone of voice. You can’t let him leave like this. You have to let him leave. What you can’t do is have it both ways.

“I have my cell. I’ll call a cab.” Keith started to get up. Bobby put up his hand.

“I’ll wait at the door. No need to get up, I’ll make sure the door locks behind me.” Bobby turned away from Keith and Keith saw him surreptitiously rubbed a tear from his eye. “If you want me, you know where I’ll be. Good-bye, Keith.” Bobby left the bedroom with his cell in hand calling for a cab. The hardest thing Keith ever did was let Bobby walk out his bedroom door.
