“Mr. Chidworth texted me Saturday to tell me to get these files ready for you, but I wasn’t sure that was what he really wanted,” Lorena said, handing a large stack of files to Howard. “You might have a hard time finding someone to clean these places.”
“No worries. I plan to clean them myself, at least in the beginning. I will probably start a new one every day. Later, I can hopefully find some people to assist me, but for now, I’ll get things started,” Howard said, taking the files from Lorena.
“Okay, Mr. Sterling. I can see what Jason sees in you…” Lorena began.
“Saw in me,” Howard said.
“Okay, we can say saw,” Lorena continued. “Anyway, you’re a stand-up guy who likes to work hard, a go-getter, but later, if you don’t like these jobs, please remember that it was Mr. Chidworth, and not me, definitely not me, who thought you should work with these.”
“I’ll remember that, Lorena, and don’t worry, they’ll all be fine,” Howard assured her
