“Look at you!” Maggie exclaimed. “You look spectacular! You’ve put some weight back on. Your hair looks really good; I like it,” Maggie said. “Your face seems to be healing very well, too.” She was also assessing the expression on Cam’s face. “To what do I owe the honor of this visit?” she asked while fluffing the pillows at Cam’s favorite spot on the couch.

“I came to chat. We haven’t talked in a few weeks and I wondered how you were. I thought you’d like to go out to dinner.”

“Dinner? I’d love it. Do you have any place in mind?”

“A good steak? And crab cakes?”

“I know just the place.”

“Great, let’s go. I’ll drive,” Cam stated.

“You’re driving again?” Maggie was surprised.

“I’ve been driving for two months. I have to wear glasses, but at least I’m back on the road.”

“And do you have your own car?” Maggie asked.

“I do. Not here, though. I rented one at the airport, but I have a brand new Beemer in Lexington.”
