Suddenly he was surrounded by the muffled sounds of movement. He was curious where they came from until he realized that they were the background noises from the club downstairs. Music, voices calling to each other, the honking of cars outside, and the sizzle and blink of the neon sign outside the building. Other than that, there was only the aroma of cool moisture in the air that flirted with his senses.

Grant loved the feel of him, his flesh young and resilient. He remembered what it had been like to be twenty-four. His hunger never stopped. It was so wild and wonderful he hardly had a moment for business. He pulled back and looked at Paris. His gaze was dilated and filled with desire. “Are you okay?” he whispered. “I seem to have been transported to somewhere out of this world. How about you?”
