I shook my head. I didn’t know what he was talking about, and I didn’t want to know.

“What about you, James?”

“I?” I looked around, at something of a loss. “I’m going…I’m going home.” My voice cracked, and I struggled to regain control. “My letter of resignation will be on your desk in the morning.”
